How is it a positive in d 100 days in officehuh
Stop wasting scarce resources defending something that should not be defended at this time.

Those resources are better utilized in other areas.

Nigerians spent close to $2B last year on foreign education, the federal government subsidised half of that payment.

To put that into perspective for you, the Government spent more money on subsidising schools fees for those furthering their education in UK, Canada and USA. Than the whole total education budget for the country.

If that is not madness I don’t know what it is.

Increase FAAC Allocation.

And setting up of an Infrastructure fund.

Budget for next year should be completed around December, that’s when we will know the project the government will embark upon .

The strongest of all the hardship is the cost of commodity..

Fx determines d price of items,as we rely wholly on importation for survival

Howcm does FAAC increased when a 1m dollar vs naira last year is worth roughly as 500k dollar vs naira this year...

1m dols last year =400m naira

1 dollar ds year=900m naira

This unnecessary fixation with dollar again, omo.

Oya make I indulge you.

FAAC Allocation before subsidy = 745B @ 450 = 971 million dollars.

FAAC Allocation After subsidy = 1.9T @ 770 = 2.4 billion Dollars.

So FAAC increases both in dollar term and Naira.

As I speculated the Tuareg and the Niger President Ethnic people are not going to allow the coup.

Rhissa Boula is leading a Tuareg force to resist the coupist, Which will lead to Civil war.

And we all know what a civil war in Niger will cause in Nigeria, The best approach for Nigeria is still to intervene and restore Bozoumto avert the impending crisis.

Well if the Chinese had not withdrawn from the rail project, it will be nearing completion by now.

I won’t fault senators for raising alarm…. That’s their job anyways but the alarm raised is why the project didn’t go on.

.....with the removal of subsidy on fuel and fx, that shouldn't be hard to fund by FG in the next 2yrs.

The Project is a must, we need it to become reality in the southern part as soon as possible. It will even save our road from short lifespan, coz I trust our people to making use of rail cargoes instead of road.

....let's wait and see Resolutions of ECOWAS after tomorrow's meeting again. As Ajuri said on Al-Jazeera, Military Intervention is still on the table but not the priority for now.

President Tinubu today inaugurated the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, chaired by Taiwo Oyedele.

The Committee has a one-year mandate, divided into three main areas:
—Fiscal governance
—Tax reforms
—Growth facilitation.

The Lagos to Calabar railine is an expensive project. It's to cost $11.12bn and constructed by CCECC. Exim Bank of China was supposed to fund the project.

This was when the project was signed in 2016.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2016/07/fg-ccecc-sign-mou-11-12bn-lagos-calabar-railway-project/amp/

In September 2017 after series of outrage about Chinese loans and the likes, Exim bank then refused to fund the project which means the govt have to look for another partner for the project.

4yrs after in 2021, the FG approved the project again to CCECC and the search for investor to invest in the railline began again.

https://www.thecable.ng/fec-approves-11bn-for-lagos-calabar-coastal-rail-project/amp

In Oct 2022, The minister for transportation announced they have reached an advanced agreement with Standard Chartered Group to finance 85% of the project while the govt finance the remaining 15%.

If Exim bank of China had not withdrawn from the project, the project will surely have been completed. In that time space, the Lagos - Ibadan rail was constructed, the Itapke to Warri line was completed, the Ibadan to Kano line construction has started also while the PH to Maiduguri line reconstruction started also.
Iro poo🤣🤣

This Sri Lankan man is not far from the truth. The world is never balance. The rich keep oppressing the poor.

Ibime, what's your take on this?

This is what France's State own Areva is doing in Niger.
