You're almost as slow as Buhari we hoped you would be different from. You came and made Buhari looks like an angel.

In as much as I'm not losing hope on you totally, please do well to find your way out and stop making life difficult for us if you have no idea how to tackle the challenges.

I will be among the first 10 people that will tackle you if you are useless. This is too much now!!! Haba!!! undecided undecided undecided

I don't know why some people find it difficult to criticise and demand for better policies from the govt of the day irrespective party affilliation. People are groaning and you're more concerned with Niger wahala. Ah just dy look the man with one eye.......

My churchy guy dy consider yahoo due to too much hunger. Funnily enough, this is a corper wey dy receive stipends every month but......but..... He is damn frustrated that he feels His God has abandoned him.

How long are we going to continue like this?
Calm down. This thing no easy as you see it. Tinubu knows these are hard policies but but is for the better according to him. Everyone is feeling the impact.

The Economy is trapped already. We are running the country on deficit and using loans to cover the shortfall. We can't continue to run in cycle like this. We are using our revenue or part of it for debt servicing. This loans come with interest and conditions. I am not saying borrowing is bad but we should not be over reliance on borrowing.

One way of generating revenue is through tax. I have not read Tinubu's tax reform policy but I just pray it will be easy on Nigerians and all.

Then again you can argue we have resources and all. Yeah but most of our politicians are corrupt. Corruption is also our problem.

If you ask me, I don't even know the way out of this problem.

Reuben quoted section 5 of the 1999 constitution subsection 5 which states:

That means Tinubu can claim Nigeria's national security is under threat and still deploy our troops ; then sought ratification of the legislature within 14 days later.
Lmao who go help am ratify am? The same senate e flout?

So basically he can deploy to the Nigerian/Niger border or just beyond it because the issue is what will be acceptable "limited combat duty"

ECOBRIG is on standby right now. We liberated Liberia, Sierra Leone in the 90s. We saved Sao Tome and Principe during OBJ administration. We forced Jammeh ro respect will of people and handover to next Government by deploying NNS, Fighter Jets and Military Personnel to Senegal - border to the country during Buhari Administration.

We have some Militarymen in Guinea-Bissau on peacekeeping Mission presently. Its not a new thing to our armed forces. Niger army can even be defeated by Amotekun.
are they still on standby?

How did Bello Matawalle pass Senate screening. That man is very corrupt but I am not surprised because even the senate president is corrupt.

We don't handle corrupt cases in Nigeria very well.

The executive, judiciary and legislature are all corrupt. Corruption everywhere.

Well if the Chinese had not withdrawn from the rail project, it will be nearing completion by now.

I won’t fault senators for raising alarm…. That’s their job anyways but the alarm raised is why the project didn’t go on.
We heard hw the chinese were taking over national assets in Uganda cox the Ugandan govt failed 2 repay the loan they collected 4rm China. Lawmakers have the right 2 know the T&C cox it is part of their oversight functions as enshrined in the constitution.

Are we not following constitutional laws again?

They also asked abt the non uniformity of the project across the geo-political zones? Very intelligent & logical questions.

This Sri Lankan man is not far from the truth. The world is never balance. The rich keep oppressing the poor.

This is what France's State own Areva is doing in Niger.
The speaker made salient points. But the problem of Africa is actually deeper and it all boils down to one thing: The continent has dumb people in the highest concentration of all the other regions in the world.

For at least the next 50 years or thereabouts, Africa will remain under the whites and Arabs as slaves until many Africans stop worshipping Yahweh or Allah. When, as an African, you worship Allah or Yahweh, the ancestors of the Arabs and whites respectively, you're merely worshipping and bowing down to the whites and Arabs.

How will you be worshipping and bowing down to a people and still want to be considered as equals to them?

Abrahamic religions will never allow Africa to grow and develop. As long as the majority of Africans follow Christianity or Islam, the continent will remain the slaves of this world and underdeveloped.

No people grow and develop when they're cut off from their roots, which are the pagan gods.

One dense poster here dey abuse Otem yesterday. I just read the comment and laughed. There are too many unintelligent people in this part of the world.

Only the most foolish Africans abuse Otem because this is a guy that delivered key messages from the founding figures of Africa (those pagan gods worshipped by the natives) in a book where he advised Africans to leave religion, shift their focus away from god or God, and embrace science and the use of the brain.

The guy urges Africans to embrace critical thinking, philosophy, and science in place of religion because no God or god answers prayers, and religion won't allow Africa to grow and develop.

His book dwarfs the literature produced by the greatest philosophers of the West. His writings are on another level: When you compare Otem's works with the greatest classical philosophers of the West such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and any other great mind in Western Philosophy, it's like comparing an Emeritus professor with an undergraduate student.

That's not an exaggeration.

And some 'dense' people here will be making a fool of themselves by abusing Otem. I just read the posts and laughed at how stupid these people are.

Africa is backward because of this low IQ of the average African. Most Africans lack foresight and can't think deeply and critically about issues.

See the kind of job racketeering that's being exposed now in FCC. Most Nigerians are guilty of this. If you don't have money, it is difficult to get FG work for this country.

Why is it that when you guys want to defend rubbish, your ability to use your sense suddenly goes out the window.

It's that time you want every single thing to be absolutely spot on and of which you'll still rather die than admit there is a problem.

So the border closure now and everything that went with it as an example is suddenly so different from this? If I call you dumb it will be like I am insulting you and yet you are showing that you cannot at the very least use your sense when it comes to defending politicians.
Stop projecting your shallow thoughts on me bro.

I have never defended the Border closure, so I don’t know what you are talking about.

That’s the difference between me and you.

I don’t defend politicians, I defend policies. But I reckon that will be hard for you to understand seeing as you are against subsidy removal and yet voted for a candidate that promised to remove subsidy.

You will only be taken serious by me if you had been an NNPP supporter.

Stop saying this thing bro. Even Tinubu admitted those policies are hard policies. Tinubu is not even defending this but he said these are policies that will reposition the country in time to come. I pray so. He even promised to intervene in the FX market. Is hard to see a country that freely float her currency without any form of control from the government.

Something you can buy for 10 Naira yesterday is going for a higher price today without increase in your income, is that not some level of hardship?

NB PLC will increase prices of their products tomorrow, both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Did you see their net loss on FX transaction?

See Lipton, I gave the woman 50 Naira for that small tea bag yesterday. The woman said is 60 Naira now. I was angry despite the 10 Naira difference. Beverages price don increase for market. This prices might go even higher.
When did I say that they are Easy policies?

How can removal of subsidy be an easy policy?

But as a nation we really need to figure out what is right and what are priorities should be.

The study of economics is how you allocate scarce resources, because resource is a scarce commodity all around the world.

There’s no justification whatsoever in spending more money on subsidy than on education or health, it’s an abomination.

You guys still don’t know that there is a very big fire on the mountain, the country has 20 million out of school children bro. 20 million!!, the highest in the world, those are potentially jihadist, kidnapper and armed robbers of tomorrow.

And you are here defending spending 350 million dollars a month on defending the Naira, something that only benefit the upper class.

People seeking education abroad, PTA/BTA , Medical Tourism etc Those are the people we should be spending scarce resources on? You must be joking.

I am not defending that. Two truth can co-exist. Freely floating the currency will increase our hardship and at the same time also free up our already scarce dollars. This is what I want you to get.

I want the floating but it should be controlled by FG. Like some level of control.

Not everyone is against subsidy removal if it plunges the country into s deep sea....

There’s no plan that will be on ground that will do much to mitigate the effect of a 250% increase in the price of a necessity good.

Stop letting them bobo you with big grammar like palliative and such, unless you are introducing another form of subsidy, people are going to feel the effect hard.

I’m more concerned on Primary and Secondary education.

That’s what the government should focus on, leave tertiary education alone.

And eliminate all forms of fee in Primary and secondary, I support subsidy payment on grassroots education with my full chest.

Introduce school feeding program expecially at the primary level, provision of glass of milk during break time for kids under the age of ten will do more in eliminating insecurity and poverty in Nigeria than spending 350 million dollars a month defending the Naira will.

Despite that, the ripple effect of subsidy removal will kick more outa school...

Whether you like it or not, sundry expenses will still force the children out as the parents wouldn't want to pass his meagre salary on those increased expenses...
