Obi was and is always the best person to lead Nigeria through these rough times based on his antecedence of frugal and wise management of state resources. Akpabio was always the opposite (his good intentions regardless) and all you have to do is local-search my moniker(s) and add "Akpabio" to it, filtering to the politics section.
Sending millions to senators to "enjoy the weekend" is reminiscent of how he used to lavish multiple millions for being invited to a church or some random function.

In like manner, Tinubu was never an option. Some were blinded by tribal loyalties and doubled down on it. Here we are.

See beyond your parochial affiliations and you'd realise you are directly responsible for the deeper mess Nigeria has plunged into since May 29. This is on you. You brought this on us.

Would he have magically gotten the refineries to get working to their capacity?

Whether we like it or not, we were always going to get to this phase.

We want change and we are looking at the President alone...Keep electing rogues as HoA members, HoR, Senate members and Governors and expect the President to get everything in place.

It is 3 months into the new administration and all I see here is Tinubu this, Tinubu that yet Governors are receiving monthly allocations o! You guys care less about holding your Governors and elected representatives accountable. Who do una abeg?

Akpabio would most likely than a number of politicians get the project underway and executed but he'd grossly inflate the project amounts. GROSSLY.

Teaming up with a Tinubu who's covetous was always going to be a recipe for economic disaster at a time when financial resources SEEM to be scarce.

Here's how much of a lavish spender Akpabio was:

During his time as Governor (the first tenure especially), all you had to do was name-drop Akpabio's name in a song poorly made on FL Studio and you'd get #5 - 15 million naira and a jeep as gifts.
Artistes and pseudo-artistes in and from Akwa Ibom made money this way.

If you name-drop Akpabio then add the "Akwa Ibom ado okay" slang, free access to government house for millions.

It didn't matter if you had the artistic flair of Speed Darlington. Praise Akpabio in your song and money drops.

Remember how MC Galaxy used to name-drop Akpabio on every song between 2011 and 2014? I could mention several others.

Man used to honour church invites with Ghana-Must-Go bags of money as donations. Yes, actual bags.

So lavish, till date, he's nicknamed "Ano owo nkpo" (loosely translated as "the one who gives" ). But "gives" from where? Our Commonwealth.

That was not someone I wanted managing Nigeria at this time.

He executed many projects but he's a lavish (and sometimes wasteful) spender. These are coexisting truths about him.
