Are you the one going for it since you started? Because you don’t need appointment for collection
The only documents need for collection is the photocopy of your passport data page and the tracking number
But seek advice from the agent, let him or she know you wanna go for it by yaself to know what’s he or she’ll say
Maybe it’s not necessary

I contacted the VFS customer service via chat today regarding the progress of my passport. Apparently seems my case was forgotten and all of a sudden I received all the mails at once this evening: from abuja to ircc, ircc to abuja etc till Lagos. Passport is now ready for collection

Aug 3 - IRCC tracker status updated closed. Has both visa number and visa expiry date.

How long afterwards should i expect an update on the VFS tracker for collection. Information on tracker has remained the same since i submitted my passport.

Confirmed hotel booking or invitation letter.
Some cash and debit card with enough fund.
That's all and be ready to answer some questions according to what you filled in your application form.

Resent my passport today after it was returned for lack of the Biometric Slip. 30 days windows has elapsed.

asking again if anyone has had to deal with submitting after the expiration of the 30 day window??

Yes they can check but in rare case.

Your friend should just hold money and confirmed accomodation

You will need your passport for the biometrics. And yes until you do your biometrics, they won't touch your file.

I gave him the cheapest he can get with a room shared apartment.

Won't recommend a studio apartment for a new comer looking for a cheap accomodation
