Why is the Western world with their institutions very quick to impose sanctions and hardship on African countries for enacting laws against LGBTIQA, but when countries in the middle east enact the same laws there are no sanctions against them, instead the West continue to do business with them.

The logic is twisting my mind, any valid answers will be appreciated.

sanction is just a big word they use to threaten small countries with puppet leaders whose economy rely on $.
