Timber injury na about 8 months plus but e no break leg na
Coming out for the second half was a big mistake. He should have been substituted immediately.

Anything muscle or ligament related is always long term. He may be back around April/ May 2024, depending on how he rehabs. I'd say we plan for next season with Timber.
It's just so sad and unfortunate. I was really looking forward to his play this season.

Kai embarassed

For our tactic to work, Martinelli has to stay high and wide. However, I still expect Martinelli to pop in with those types of goal occasionally but the guy no dey gree look up.
He needs to pop up with it occasionally oo.

See Trossard of last season na, he was just unlucky with his (hits the bar against both Southampton and Brighton, while his Leicester effort was ruled out). At least you can see the efforts and accuracy.

Martinelli own no just get accuracy cha cha!! No be everytime dribbling or space inside the box go work

Nelli needs to be called to the Tactic room and shown some clips of Sanchez so he can start doing the LHS kind of goals similar to that. Almost everyone that he faces already anticipate he cutting back to the left foot so they block the right so as to react better to the switch. That's why i like Trossard for such shots. Barely off target.
Chai, Sanchez!! God bless that player.

If only Martinelli go just watch Sanchez and mirror his play cox na him be the closest person to Sanchez. How I wish he can get his.

Saka and Martinelli both scoring from outside 18 will be so sweet ehn. Then add occasional Odegaard own. Haba!!

They need it, their midfield has been in shambles for like 2 seasons .

Thank God we have our own midfiled too sorted out before now

Chelsea sold Kovacic, Mount and Havertz only to replace them with Caicedo, Lavia and Olise. I don't see any upgrade. Only Caicedo can match those that left.

ACL is six months to heal and one month for fitness.

Not confirmed though. I still have fault hopes that it's not ACL

If Timber will be out till next year, let's drop 20m for Fresneda. Immediately Timber comes back, we can let Tierney go. Make sense?
I'd say we push for Cancelo rather. If it didn't work, there's no need buying players we can't trust are better than what we got.

Any of those 3 you mentioned is better than Havertz and I'll certainly take Olise over Mount.

I don't know much about Lavia but one thing is certain, they definitely improved their Midfield

Gbam!

If those 3 spy360 mentioned were as good as he says, Chelsea won't be as pisss poor as they were last season or two seasons ago.

ACL is rarely ever less than 9 months after surgery and surgery is usually delayed for some weeks after the injury in order to allow all the initial inflammation subside and do some pre-surgery rehab.

Think of it in a reverse order.

You based your rating not on the player's ability but on Chelsea's performance last season.
It is easy to shine if you play for Crystal Palace or Southampton.

Now think of this, the managers that went for those former three are the top three in the league- Pep, Arteta and ETH.

Chelsea was poor last season because of coaching not talent. There's a little difference between Arsenal and Chelsea in terms of quality. They conceded 47goals, we conceded 43goals. In fact on paper they had better quality than us. Just that the squad had no balance and coaching was poor.

Which nonsense quality on paper ?

Chelsea upgraded by disposing of their players who were holding them back. Go through chelsea thread and see how they lamented about Mount and Havertz even before last season. Even Kovacic was always driving the ball like headless chicken, dribbles without result…. We can still say his own pattern is not suited for their game, but in all they upgraded by buying players who will give them results

This is just emotions. Give me proofs.

The three players were signed by clubs that did better than Chelsea last season. In fact all three are in CL. They were the top three clubs in England last season. Their coaches are the top three (bar Klopp) in England. You don't know more than all of them. Give me a break.

The only upgrade Chelsea got is Caicedo. A midfield of Enzo and Caicedo is going to be strong. But they lost Kovacic. The upgrade is not that much to me. Replacing Kovacic with Caicedo doesn't do much for me.

Arsenal however got Rice. A midfield of Rice and Partey is even stronger. We upgraded more than Chelsea.

Jorginho is not in our first eleven.

What's your point?

A club will sign a player they believe will fit into their plans; it doesn't mean such a player is the best in that position in the market. All these one u are talking is shalaye. Those 3 players were trash for Chelsea last season and they were binned like they should be.

The club has gone ahead to upgrade by signing players who are currently in form and can fit into their plans Simple!

Why are we playing behind closed doors friendly in midweek
Saka scored and trossard with brace against Luton
Zinny and Raya also played

Arteta will over work these guys to stupor

I'm never one to judge players based on one season or joining bandwagon to condemn. If you notice me esp in Chelsea thread, I've been very very critical of Havertz right from his first signing in 2020

Moreover, there's a big reason why all three players were greeted with criticism from their new fans. It's not agenda or bad belle. If you watch those three closely during their Chelsea stay, you'll know why.

A simple proof I gave to show how valuable a player is by which top manager or top club are after him.

Pep went for Kovacic, Arteta went for Havertz, ETH went for Mount. These are the best three managers in the league last season. There's no amount of your personal opinion or those of Chelsea fans that can surpress that of these people.

I am done.
