Let me just point out the illusion of Russian and Chinese aggression around the world. You hear this repeated many, many times that, you know, any day, you know, Russia's going to take over the entire world.

China is taking over the world. They're doing all this stuff. If you look at the the number of foreign bases between the US and the UK, we have about 900 overseas military bases, bases where we have troops stationed in foreign countries.

The total bases of the the Russians and the Chinese are about 35 or 35 in total. China only has five overseas bases compared to the 900 or so US UK. This we've created this bizarre illusion because the deep state, the war industrial complex must have enemies. You cannot manufacture weapons when you don't have enemies.

And so we create this illusion that they're coming to get us. They're they're on our doorstep. And the fact of the matter is that China is out to make a buck. They want money. They. Yes, they they the Belt and Road Initiative is very important, but they have a different paradigm. Our paradigm is we we go into a country, we set up NGOs. We take over, you know, the government by coup.

If we can't, then we just we just bomb the place to smithereens half the time. And you compare that with the with the foreign policy of China, which is you go in, you work with whatever government is there, you don't you don't you're not judgmental, but you make hard business decisions. You make investments.

And I think for people who are comparing the foreign aid paradigm of of the US and China, they're saying, you know, my my my likelihood of surviving is much higher if I follow the Chinese paradigm. So we need we need to just get away from this feeling that we have to constantly be at war with the entire world. You know, Great Britain has the the 21 mile English Channel that's separates it from Europe.

And that 21 miles has kept it quite, quite safe from from invasion over, you know, many, many centuries. There have been a couple of exceptions. And the Vikings came in and different different things, bigger ones than that. But but in any event, they're basically safe. 21 miles of ocean.

You look at us, we've got 5000, 6000 miles of oceans separating us from the nearest threats that we perceive. So we probably have less reason to be militaristic than any great nation on earth. And yet here we are. We our budget is the last I checked, it was it was as large as the next largest 11 defense budgets of the biggest defense spenders in the world. So we had we had a single check to Ukraine that is as big as the entire military budget of of Russia for a year. So we need to we need to escape from this illusion that that they're out to get us because they're not out to get us. There is nothing aggressive either in the policy of China or of Russia. And the only the only aggression is with the US, UK, the NATO countries, which, you know, I look at the at the the history of the wars of the Russian Federation.

You have the tiny, tiny war in Georgia. You have the war in Syria, which they they didn't get involved in until four years after the terrorists had been there. And then finally at the last moment, they agreed to go in at the request of of Syria because ISIS and al Qaeda threatened to overwhelm the country. Very reluctant, somewhat limited involvement in Syria. And now you have the situation in Ukraine.

You compare that to our situation where we've we've fought multiple wars against Iraq. We fought in Somalia, we fought in Bosnia, we fought in Haiti, we fought in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Uganda, Syria. I probably missed half a dozen wars that that we fought. We fight everywhere. You can literally have a soldier who retires with 30 years active service in the US Army.

And he will retire and never have served a single day when the United States was not invading and occupying some country. So to compare that with the situation with with Russia and China, where has China had fought? Who have they invaded? They've had a couple of little border border disputes, but that's it. They don't invade people. We invade people. So we need to get away from this illusion. If we can ever break away from the illusion that they're out to get us, which is totally false, then we can start chopping back on our on our defense budget.

World tensions could reduce and we could get back to making cell phones or whatever we do for a living and and have a genuine economy that wasn't based on killing people in foreign countries.

Many military officials are speaking up

Russia to discuss introduction of strict capital controls to prop up ruble

Citing a Russian finance ministry proposal, the Financial Times said large exporters could be forced to convert up to 80% of their foreign currency into roubles in order to raise demand for the currency.

Other proposals included a ban on foreign dividend payments and loan extensions, cancelling import subsidies, limiting currency swaps, and reducing the amount of foreign currency exporters can take out of Russia, the newspaper reported.

I want to add a couple of comments.

1. The Americans declared China the enemy of the USA No. 1. Not Russia.
2. But the Americans cannot attack China as long as there is Russia. So they started with an attempt to destroy Russia.
3. China knows that it will be next after the Russians. And militarily, it is weaker than the United States. Therefore, the alliance between China and Russia is now impossible to break. It was not possible to isolate Russia economically, so Russia can wage a proxy war in Ukraine for much longer than its opponents.

4. In Israel, they tell such a story:

Children at a Jewish school were given a meeting with an old woman who survived the Nazi Holocaust.

And after her story , the teacher asked the children: what is the main lesson we should learn from the Disaster? Someone gets up, gives out the usual set: attitude to one's neighbor, humanity, one's own country, the ability to defend oneself independently.
But then the old lady intervened: "Everything is simpler. Everything is much simpler. It's just that if someone ever says they want to kill you, believe them. Do not look for explanations that he really means something completely different, do not tell each other that this is just some kind of politics and other games. Just believe them. And then: you can — fight, you can't — run. But the main thing is to believe them. Immediately..."

So let's see what the Americans and their puppets say about Russia?

Quite openly, they say that Russia should be divided into small independent pieces, that its population should be reduced to 30 million, or even more: there are very few Russians needed to service oil/gas fields where it is very cold.

They are officially gathering conferences on the topic "how to disintegrate Russia after winning it."

Russians know what the disintegration of the country is. After the collapse of the USSR, hundreds of thousands of people died of hunger, drugs, and died in ethnic conflicts along the borders of the country.

So the hopes that the Russians will rebel against Putin because the West is so good and democratic are groundless. All residents of Russia believed the West that the West wants to kill most of them either directly or starve them to death and cold.

In addition, the West regularly (once every 100-200 years) unites and attacks Russia.

And it loses every time.

⚡️🇷🇺 Russia, Turkey, and Qatar are preparing a new agreement to replace the grain deal – BILD

Leaked diplomatic notes between the Russian Foreign Ministry, Turkish embassies, and Qatar reveal discussions from July 21 to August 8.

The letters indicate that the Kremlin informed 🇹🇷 Erdogan in advance about exiting the grain deal. Under the new agreement, the focus will be on supplying Russian grain to impoverished countries, primarily in Africa. Turkey will act as the organizer, and 🇶🇦 Qatar will serve as the sponsor of the deliveries.

Turkey's Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, requests that Russia resume the previous grain deal, which would include supplies from 🇺🇦 Ukraine as well. Ankara also suggests operating under the auspices of the UN.

It is expected that the deal will be finalized over the weekend in Budapest. Reports mention the departure of Rustam Minnikhanov, the head of Tatarstan, to 🇭🇺 Budapest, where Erdogan is also planning to visit.

to me i think just like the oil, Russia is one of the biggest grain exporter in the world so is Ukraine too.
Now imagine Ukraine not being able to export her grain, the price of grain will increase and Russia will just sell more and probably see off some Ukraine grain at discount. At the end of the day its just business

One thing people need to understand is that Russia is going through a lot and they need every money possible, did sanctions hurt Russia the honest answer is YES! , did it hurt Russia like the USA anticipated capital NO!
For the Russia economy to still be kicking they need to give whoever is in charge a raise, now imagine the amount of sanctions thats on Russia half of it should be on USA their economy would have crashed since, riots and looting would be the order of the day. All it takes is for the major oil exporters to stop accepting dollar

As in??
Russia is even sooo diminished right now that there are talks of removing Russia as a permanent member of the UN security Council and replacing it with India and people are still deranging themselves with talks of Russia as a supreme power. grin grin

Russia is NOTHING in today's world. All it is today is a shadow of an Empire that once was!

It played it's game and it lost!

RUSSIA LOST THE COLD WAR!
Soviet Russia was the second biggest and richest country in the world for decades but it's failed social experiment of communism absolutely failed.

There were countries used as socio-economic experiments under the wings of the United States and Soviet Russia.
All allies of the United States came out triumphant and very wealthy today, Japan, south Korea, west Germany, Britain, France, south Korea, Canada, Australia etc while all countries under Soviet Russia till today are in poverty and penury with all having various autocratic dictators countries, like Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, kajigzitan, north Korea, Belarus etcetera.

Russia has fallen from the 2nd richest country to not even making top 10 economy while the mighty and powerful United States of America has only soared to ever greatest heights. Becoming a beacon of freedom and democracy to all nations. Our very own country Nigeria directly mirrors the democratic system of the United States. And one can boldly say it has worked better than what we experienced under military dictatorship! We haven't perfected the system yet but it is much better than the dictatorship of the past. All we have to do is unite and elect the best leaders without looking at tribe and we'll get there eventually. Last election was just a stepping stone to how we can change the system ourselves as the LP elected numbers can testify.

Russia is now a NON-ENTITY on the global stage.

Russia has been weakened and the road ahead for Russia is even bleaker.

I don't think you Putin retards understand what poo-tin has done to that country. It has basically been frozen out from the most powerful and biggest markets bar China to which it has simply become a vassal state for.

Poo-tin today finds himself completely at the mercy of China. If China tells poo-tin to bark like a dog, poo-tin will gladly do because it simply cannot do without them moving forward. Just like North Korea. That is where Russia is headed.

Do you mean to say that the official representatives of the US State Department or the presidents of some Western countries there are stupid pro-Putin propagandists?

Do you really think that Russia is a country of bears and vodka and all the people here walk in bast shoes and in general only Putin is literate in Russia?

imagine, there are a lot of educated people in Russia and Russia is a very computerized country, there is even a mobile or satellite Internet under a tree in the terrible Siberian taiga.

And we can read/listen to primary sources in English.
The Anglo-Saxons and their hangers-on are very arrogant. And stupid, of course.

At first, they do not hesitate at all to tell how they will share the skin of an unkillable bear, and then they start yelling "oh, we didn't mean anything like that."

UPD.

well, the Russians and the Chinese are terribly stupid and do not understand what sweet and good Western exporters of "democracy" are.

And what will you do? What can you do at all, other than spit poison on the forum?

You just have to go and cry in a corner.

Together with Henry Kissinger, who stated some time ago that the worst thing for the United States - China's alliance with Russia - has already happened

Although his generation of diplomats (in Soviet times) tried to do everything so that this would never happen.

But there are no smart people like Kissinger left in the USA, England or the rest of Europe.

And thank God.

What's in it for these countries scrambling to secure this grain deal with Russia.

There's money there. Lots of money. The simple act of being a member of the negotiating deal earns you concessions. And concessions mean money. You will get some grains for free. That's money. You get to decide who buys grains. That's money. You get to hire ships to ship grains. That's more money. What about protecting the routes, servicing the ships -- providing them with fuel and their crew with food? It's still money.

While negotiating the deal, you reach an agreement as to when grain exports will begin. So before it's announced to the public, you buy shares in companies that will buy the grains, in the oil companies that will service the ships, and in the insurance companies that will insure the ships, and in literally every profitable company that will be involved in one way or the other. Once the deal is announced, their shares rise and then you sell your shares and make your profit.

It's money, money, money, all the way. And while making all that money, you get to improve your public image for being the good guys that negotiated the deal. So free money and free PR.

⚡️UN rights chief says Niger president treason case has "no legal basis"

The United Nations human rights chief on Friday said there was no legal basis for 🇳🇪 Niger's military junta to prosecute deposed president Mohamed Bazoum for high treason, saying the "very notion of freedoms" in the country was at stake.

"This decision is not only politically motivated against a democratically elected President but has no legal basis as the normal functioning of democratic institutions has been cast aside," U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk said in a statement.

"Generals cannot take it upon themselves to defy - at a whim - the will of the people. Rule-by-gun has no place in today's world," he added.

⚡🇺🇸 Washington is concerned that Moscow is helping North Korea build a missile capable of reaching the US – NBC

The Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) has concluded that the North Korean missile "Hwasong-18," tested in July, is nearly an exact copy of a 🇷🇺 Russian ballistic missile capable of evading American missile defense systems.

It can deliver multiple warheads across the Pacific Ocean and beyond, reaching the entire mainland of the United States.

This suggests that the connections between Moscow and 🇰🇵 Pyongyang have reached a "troubling" level, according to American analysts.
