Luckysbab: So you don't know that we have marine police? The primary duty of the navy is to protect the nation and every other thing, but the report shows that they are being set up primarily to protect investors investments. |

AmotekunSW: Yes... My problem is the corruption. There's naval base in pH that almost share fence with a bunkery offloading and lifting point. Your guess is as good as mine. |

bestman09: Marine police do not fight terrorism. The threat to the EPZ is not from common criminals but from sea borne terrorism. There is a large physical police station in the EPZ. 1 Like |

Antoeni:We don’t want the northerners anymore. All they do is give birth like rabbits and turn their children to beggars, scavengers who destroy public properties just to find metals to scale, etc. Our GDP had been beaten to stupor because of these people. Let them go! |

AmotekunSW: Ignorance is not an excuse. Learn before you display your ignorance to the general public.. JURISDICTION AND FUNCTIONS of Marine Police The Marine Section generally conducts security combat and anti-crime operations on the Territorial Inland Waters, (measured from the inward limits of the coastal waterways from the fairway buoy), Ports, and Harbours. The section sometimes enjoys incursion extending into the Continental shelf and the Exclusive Economic Zone (E.E.Z) when it is conducting hot pursuit and chases. The basic and ancillary powers and authority of the section are from the Constitution of the Federal Republic, the Police Act, and various Acts and legislation. |

Midoda: I expected this response. What the Naval command is doing is within the constitutional guidelines for their roles in defending the waterways. It doesn't override the marine police's duties, but rather complement. |

Ohibenemma: Lagos is divinely blessed but your state is cursed bah? You are insinuating whatever is done is Lagos would yield positive result but no matter what is done in your state would not yield result? Look at how you out of hatred portray your state as a barren land that nature abhor. I would pray that your state will blossom and flourish like Lagos is doing, whoever govern it will make a positive change and you inhabitant would be proud of your state while I would be proud of Lagos my state |

They will not talk about the Igbo chief of Naval Staff that has been making all these moves recently. But if there is bad news they will mention the name of the tribe. Idïots |
