The best palliative Govt can give Nigerians is to subsidise fuel and make it more affordable. Any other palliative is a scam. They can then go after Subsidy Scammers and effectively man our borders. |

On the right track to implode economically. Palliative in exchange for subsidy is like accepting double portion of food for 6 month in exchange for a lifetime of no food. It may work elsewhere but not in a country that's fantastically corrupt. |

EyeCumInPiece:I wholeheartedly believe in the above statement, as I do not believe subsidy should be removed without having local refining capacity for all of our consumption, and eliminating epileptic electrical power that make a lot of households and corporate offices and their assets consume fuel to run generators. However, I also feel the government should stop subsidising anything the rich can afford. The rich who can spend N50m and N100m on cars, millions on secondary education of their children at BIS, or Grange School, or Greensprings, etc, should never have their fuel consumption subsidized. Government should find a way to free up that subsidy going to the rich and spend it on things the rich really need, like security, while also using the funds,to provide affordable healthcare and better educational infrastructure and resources for the poor. It would be a win-win situation. The only problem is to find a way to truly provide palliatives as an alternative to subsidizing fuel consumption of the poor, such that they truly feel they have been subsidized in the way the previously existing fuel subsidy truly reached them. |

Throwback:You're the only moniker dedicated to supporting Tinubu that doesn't have a problem with having a mind of his own. I suspect this moniker is operated by a pressure group outside govt. Either way, respects 🙏 👏 |
