Please any ewedu farmer should help a brother here.
what causes my ewedu plants to die green on their own?
Initially, i had thought it was some rodents chopping the plants, but i didn't see any rodent around even when i embarked on night watch.
Could this be nematode?

Roots look normal. Maybe uproot one or two from around where others died and check. Sometimes RKN attack doesn't affect the entire garden at once but gradually spreads.

Some other farmers of the vegetable have helped me identify the problem. It is toxins from the roots of siam weed(young awolowo plants) growing nearby that is killing the plants.

After embarking on mechanical weeding on the beds yesterday i noticed it has stopped affecting the plants

Allelopathic effect of the akintola (Awolowo) weeds on your crops. Aspilia africana also produce such effect.
