Trade one to two pairs that are correlated or move similarly

Trade only if weekly high and low is broken or trade only Thursday and Friday.

Minimize your trading activity

Pair selection:

Choose eurusd and usdchf/ eurgbp or

Choose usdjpy and audusd or

Choose xauusd and usdcad

Stop mixing markets that respect support and resistance with markets that blast through key levels without backing up and filing.

If you like one-way traffic, choose usdjpy, xauusd. If you like patience and retests of previous areas, choose eurusd, usdchf

Books:

Go and read currency trading for dummies by Brian Dolan. It explains how different pairs behave.

You might have a good strategy but you are applying it on a wrong pair.

I don't trade chjpy but I don't think your trade idea is wrong considering where the market is at.

But your trade timing was wrong

You traded an outside bar on the daily hoping for trend continuation. It rarely ever works out well for a chart with strong bullish motion like chjpy.

It's always safer to start trading from above or below the daily candle close than predicting the high and low within the candle close , especially if you are trying to call a reversal of 8 months of bullish motion.

If you take this same move, in 2 ,or 3 days time, with pinbars forming at that top, it could be successful.
