What's this one saying?

If you don't know something ask around, are you a lawyer, how many courts sittings have you been.

Find out how much interest has accrued, the default charges then do the math and tell them to restructure the total balance according to your current economic capacity or cashflow. Even if they take you to court or police station, you will be asked to state how you intend to pay down the loan. So you take the step to ask them to do a loan restructuring, so that you will be able to clear it.

If I may ask, how exactly is God going to offset her debts?

I hope you know the Scriptures say, a righteous man pays his debts?

Do not put God into a financial corner and place Him in the role of a bailer.

I suspect God does not like to sit in the back of a leaky boat and continuously have to bail us out.
Help me tell all these people wey dey carry religion for head.. Pay dent Dem no go hear na to dey cry make God come pay for them..

1. You can not be jailed, this is a civil matter. You should get a lawyer to file an injunction on your behalf to restrain the company from harassing you. Do this urgently so you have a legal document confirming your willingness to pay but under a rescheduled time frame. Better you talk to a lawyer first on the best plan of action. But I assure you, there is no jail for you.

2. Yes, the police can even with your torchlight phone. More reason to talk to a lawyer fast to get legal protection before police harassment starts.

3. The worst is a police or court case where you state your intention to pay but only as your financial power allows you to. So in reality, you can strike a deal in court to pay N10-N50k monthly as you can afford.

4. Ease your mind, this case is very civil, there's nothing you have signed in any document that forces you to make payment you can't afford. But take the documents you signed to a lawyer too.

5. Next time when you're given a loan that can't start your project, learn to reject money and save yourself unnecessary stress.

6. You don't start a new business with loans, loans are only used to amplify returns in a proven business model.

7. I have consulted for several companies including banks like the one you borrowed from. They do not want legal troubles or associated expenses. So get your lawyer to write them, make it clear you've endured enough mental and emotional stress and would like to proceed with payment without further blackmail and threats.

Good luck.
Can I reach you on WhatsApp please? Would want to discuss something with you

I still can’t change my email .

Anyways , let me ask here please

I’m into thrift collection (daily savings)

1) sterling bank staff came to arrest my brother over a loan my mum owe (she hasn’t finished paying )

2) the arrest was in my head office . She told my customers that my brother who doubles as my operational manager defrauded the bank using my mum’s name (false)

3. My customers believed her (the marketer ) . Now everyone want their money . The slanderous statement has ruined my reputation

4. I’m almost out of business with hundreds of threat from misinformed customers

5. She ( the bank staff ) detained my brother for 4 days

Bro please, what do I do ?? I’m very frustrated at this point

Please talk to a lawyer and have a letter sent to their hq with your demands.

Use a SAN to send the letter, not just any lawyer.

OverCalculating:

Yes, I have a registered company. No other prove of wealth apart from my bank statement. No guarantor.

Thank you for this. How can I get a debt counsellor?

Then you don't have a problem.
Ensure you repay the debt at the most possible. Don't steal and don't go borrowing to repay. If you did not give them your cheque leaf. There's nothing they can do. The cheque is the single document they can use to jail you.

Repay your loan. Defaulting in repayment is the main reason MFBs closes shop.

I work with one and will not want to see a debtor go away with our fund. Call them to restructure to a period you can use in paying. They will agree, if. You are scared of physical harassment. Then just call for restructuring of your loan facility and ensure you follow it.

You've done well. Do not be troubled. This incident will make you a stronger and better business person.

Contact your customers individually and explain things to them. Apologise for the situation you put them, yes, you will take the blame even though they are just ignorant. Warm them up to return their money and assure them their funds are safe with you.
