BlueRayDick:Any man of God that dabbles into politics should expect insults. He could have kept it as a personal or private opinion. But asking people to believe nonsense will attract insults because he is not infallible. To me the man has backslided and needs revival. |

OasisX:He is indirectly saying we should accept rascality and fraud. He does not want to criticise and he is asking others to do the same in the face of corruption and impunity. Even God punishes the wicked. Think of this. Bawa was EFCC chairman investigating Matawalle and Akpabio. Matawalle is now defense minister. Akpabio is now Senate President. All chosen by Tinubu. While Bawa has been put in cell for the past 80days without trial by Tinubu. Think about this. |

Imagine being stupid and trying to defend these wicked pastorprenours. Batists are saying that he sells "hope", this is not soo different from the opium houses in the past where people who were poor and depressed went to places where they were almost perennially high by consistently taking in opium as a means of escape till they eventually overdosed and died.. This later became known as the opioid crises. This is why religion has consistently been called the opium of the masses. The "hope" you guys are talking about here is simply called "false hope", "deceptive hope", the type of hope a scammer sells to his victim while actively deceiving and scamming him. Since they kingdom come, these pastors have been selling false hopes to their congregations in Nigeria. Always telling them to "pray" for their leaders and their countries and in the same vein, shifting them away from political participation and always demonizing political participation. Since 1970's, these pastors will only tell their people to "pray" but will never follow it up with action, at least like their black African-American counterparts who used their pulpits to enact civil rights change for black people at least. It has always pray, pray pray without actively getting their members involved in the process of making the country grow. Without directing their flock on active steps to take, organizing peaceful protests from their pulpits against the governments, clamouring for positive law enactments etcetera. It's such a damn shame and any enlightened person enabling this nonsense is a big part of that problem. |

If the support for Kumuyi isn't partisan, explain why the same people criticize Oyedepo for voting against Tinubu's party/preferred? Doubt me? Local-search "Oyedepo" here on Nairaland then filter the search to the Eurosoccer section. Keep scrolling through the search results. Notice how it's mostly the same people giving Kumuyi an easy pass for pro-Tinubu comments lambasting Oyedepo for his comments on national politics? Yeah. |

Emaprince:All these one na opata yarns, my brother. The statement was clear; He believes.... What do you want to misunderstand there? If he said he did not believe God will use Tinubu to fix Nigeria, will you come here to drag him? Obviously no. I don't believe Tinubu can fix Nigeria, but Kumuyi believes. What is the issue there? Or he has no right to believe anything? Make una take am easy. He has every right to believe whatever he wants and address his congregation too. Until you show me where he said God told him Tinubu would change Nigeria for good, you are dragging an innocent man. |

Kumuyi has never shown partisan to any party. His comments on Tinubu are the usual comments of best wishes and prayers he gives to any one that happens to be in power. Even during them military days he never came out publicly to castigate any head of state. You're within your rights to not like his stance but it's not today he has expressed himself like that. As for Oyepedo he hasn't hidden the fact that he's partisan so if political rivals of another party decide to go against him for not supporting or criticizing them it's logical and expected. sod09:Leave the headlines and read what he said there. Let’s forget the past. This is a new day and I believe; we all believe that we’re going to see new things for our country through our President and through the members of the cabinet. Good things will happen. |

Spy360:A man who said and believed good things will happen to his country is the one that has backslided but the ones who place curses on Nigeria everyday are those in good standing with God So If Kumuyi had mounted the alter and placed curses on the President like your faves do, then he will be a good person |

chrisooblog: Don't insult our intelligence. Pastor Kumuyi chastised Nigerians for complaining about Buhari. He outrightly supported Buhari even as recently as 2019. https://saharareporters.com/2019/06/03/ffk-shehu-sani-omokri-others-slam-kumuyi-saying-nigerians-shouldnt-attack-buhari Even the deranged Reno Omokri whose tweets are being used as validation right on this thread's current page attacked Kumuyi for supporting Buhari in 2019. Kumuyi is a partisan as Oyedepo is but Kumuyi always sides with the oppressors. In 2022, he made a case in support of the Muslim-Muslim ticket. Please! Welcome to the internet where historical libraries of our activities are always open and free. |

BlueRayDick:Mbaka is the one I know very well to have mixed himself with politics The moment a man of God does that, he is a sell out. It's no surprise they are humans and can be swayed due to greed for worldly things. A man of God has one assignment - salvation. |

There is a petition before tinubu that the embattled CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, secretly sold 3.4 billion dollars to Dangote, IN ONE TRANSACTION, at a rate other than the prevalent rate of dollars in the market at the time, to fund his refinery project.
Hehe.. We wait |

raumdeuter:Look, I know how pastors criticise sinners and unbelievers especially the Kumuyi type. I also know how they commend 'believers'. Saying we should forget the past is saying we should accept the rascality that happened in the 2023 elections and believe that the rascality will work. My brother, if Kumuyi reviews those comments in his quiet place, in his morning devotion, he will cry to God for forgiveness. |
