Him saying that he "believes" can be misunderstood as a prophecy since he is a man of God. People will think he saw that in one of his visions.

For some one that leads millions of christ followers, if he BELIEVES, then there is a strong conviction behind it cos christains believes that God never fails...and hearing it from some one who is like God's mouth piece to them reinforces their hopes that it will come to pass.

Churches these days have watered down. He should face the teaching of salvation, not Nigerian government.

Doubt me? Local-search "Oyedepo" here on Nairaland then filter the search to the Eurosoccer section.

Keep scrolling through the search results. Notice how it's mostly the same people giving Kumuyi an easy pass for pro-Tinubu comments lambasting Oyedepo for his comments on national politics?

Kumuyi has never shown partisan to any party.

His comments on Tinubu are the usual comments of best wishes and prayers he gives to any one that happens to be in power. Even during them military days he never came out publicly to castigate any head of state. You're within your rights to not like his stance but it's not today he has expressed himself like that.

As for Oyepedo he hasn't hidden the fact that he's partisan so if political rivals of another party decide to go against him for not supporting or criticizing them it's logical and expected.

A man who said and believed good things will happen to his country is the one that has backslided but the ones who place curses on Nigeria everyday are those in good standing with God
