Very objective mindset.

When I defend Havertz it's not saying he should be MOTM. It's just an explanation of what he brings. If Havertz does his job well, players like Jesus, Martinelli and Saka will enjoy him. They will have tons of spaces to operate.

I expect Jodera, Blueraydick and Sod09 to carefully analyse these points you raised.
I want to give u an assignment. U see this our next game? I will be here while the game is on, please as the action is taking place in real time, be pointing out those so called off the ball movement/activities of Havertz to me. Make e for no cause quarrel later

😂😂😂

You talk as if anyone has said he should be MOTM.

I recall during the UCL finals against Barcelona. Wenger opted to start a relatively unknown Fabregas in midfield and instead of Flamini who had be impressive that season.

If you watched that match, Fabregas had few touches but his off the ball movements were top notched. This helped us control the midfield until the pipe bursted because of Almunia.

Havertz like Fabregas is a player that does one touch passing. It's hard to notice if you are not focused on him.

I implore you to focus on him and give us a report this weekend.

COYG👍🏽
Lol, I no dey expect am to give me man of the match performances oo.

I just need him to turn up more, be more active in on the ball duties and be more daring and ambitious.

For an attacking midfielder in this team, his play is too safe. I hardly see him move forward with the ball, I hardly see him give threatening forward passes.

I dey always focus on am but I'll officially focus on him this weekend again.

Players like Martinelli and Saka don really spoil us so that when we see other players with different vibes we feel disappointed.

My take is, if Havertz's style is what Arteta wants to win games then no problems.

I remember watching strikers like Trezeguet, Crespo, Nzaghi, Jadel etc. They give no contributions to the overall play only to pop up from no where a score a tap in. Yet these strikers are their coach's favourites including in their NT. It was later I understood that what gave them value is their off the ball movements which meant a lot to the success of the teams.

Bros...talk another player....inzaghi go foul player score and you would not know na im foul...untill slow-mo is replayed
The only player i know when u talk of off the ball is ozil

Hahahahaha!!!
Saka and Martinelli spoil us? You call what dey are doing spoiling?
Abeg no make me laugh grin

What Saka and Martinelli are doing is never in any way regarded as spoiling fans. It's Just the least expected from a top club and we even need improvement from them sef.

Moreover, those names you called are all strikers. Strikers of those times are judged with goals and those names(aside jadel who I don't know) are good goalscorers. Havertz is neither an arsenal striker nor a goalscorer so such comparison no fit. And even those guys sef, na still their on the ball qualities dey count for dem(Goals)

It's simple, we can not be comfortable with only off the ball qualities from a player(Havertz or not). It will take us only so far.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Havertz10: 6:56pm On Aug 23, 2023
As a Chelsea fan, I shouldn’t be aiding you lot but I know that havertz would succeed and instead of ruining your team with senseless agendas, do some research of your own

Search for All Havertz’s big game performances, in finals or quarter finals, forget videos that’s too much work, look at the stats, remember that he mostly played as a striker in those games, but search for it and see for yourself.

🔴 Nicolas Pépé at Arsenal:
112 games // 27 goals // 21 assists

🔴 Sancho & Antony at #MUFC:
127 games // 20 goals // 9 assists

“Look at Pepe’s stats compared to them… you called him the biggest flop!”

Darren Bent’s shares some stats on Antony & Sancho at Man United 👀

Sth hoogggeee and Arteta don start he brain fart tactics again. Well, on the other hand I like it at least it will give opposition false up we are not a threat this season while we keep garnering 3points every match.

What do I mean they are some matches he doesn't need to play beautifully just grind the results and they are some matches we must play beautifully and table result etc.

From my end I believe he is trying to fit in both Rice and Havertz into the system on ground tho he has to tweak his tactics to achieve that hence we Partey playing FB... I sha hope it works out successful.
Brain fart? I've not seen one so far. I don't think he is trying to fit in anybody. He just adds variety to our tactic. Havertz gives us the height at the final third which none of our forwards can give. This has also allowed us to be more direct since we have an outlet now.

Playing Partey at RB and Timber at LB was to make us less predictable since either can invert perfectly. Zinchenko doesn't suit this role because he is not good defensively. Don't be surprised to see Kiwior at LB next match instead of Zinchenko.

Off the ball raumdeuters does not have to be a striker or any particular wing. Trezeguet and Nzaghi are also raumdeuters.

Even a defender can be a raumdeuter. It's just a style of play. Though most of them are either strikers or midfielders because that's where they operate better.

Everyone knows convincing performance are matches you dominate, create tons of chances and score goals hardly with the opponent threatening you.

See Man u second leg for example, we so press their neck well and they hardly threatened us even though the score was 3-2 and we scored dying minute goal. You can't compare that with the 2-1 over nothingham Forest where we didn't even score a dying minute goal

It's like sweeper. We know defenders who are sweepers. But now even GK are sweepers. If someone like you who loves antecedents was told ten years ago that a GK can be a sweeper he won't accept.

That doesn't mean GKs 20years ago were once sweepers. It's a modern stuff.

Papa Trezeguet and Pipo Inzaghi were never Raumdeuters. No talk am outside abeg.

No defender presently is a Raumdeuter.

I'm talking about the matches against Palace and Aston Villa at the start of last season. You termed them convincing while our two matches so far this season are unconvincing. my opinion is that there is no much difference. That's it.

Just watched a few clips of dem Nasri and Arshavin era
Vs Fulham(Nasri both goals), and Sanchez/Ozil Partnership vs Chelsea, 3-0

Thunder faya whoever was in charge. These guys just needed defenders and a great GK to rule the world and they couldn't give them that?

MA has really tried that it looks like the abysmal years are non-existent. Until you watch those clips and wonder why the owner never say diamonds and support them with all his heart. Mtchew.

We don't need to. Saka needs less minutes a lot.

The other side of it is that every opponent preparing to face us are rewarded fat with full 90mins play of all forms of Saka to analyze how to keep him quiet. Since MA realized Odegaard doesn't need to play full 90, that should be extended to Saka as well. We should not repeat last season mistake with such a key player.
