Marriage is not for the faint hearted oh

Person open eye, lock him husband for Nigerian police station grin grin

So, you are one of those who think you should be able to commit crimes without penalty, against the one you are married to? undecided

My immediate neighbour has done this to the husband before. He slept the night in the cell grin I remember telling my wife the day she tries it, the marriage is over cheesy
Your wife would be a fool to let you get away with any criminal acts you perpetrate against her in the name of marriage. No wonder Nigeria remains the cesspit It is today where most crimes go unreported and unpunished. undecided

How can someone lock their husband or wife in a cell?

Ahn Ahn grin
A more intelligent question would be how can anyone reason to commit a brutal crime against a supposed loved one? lipsrsealed

■ But people do lock their children up . What do u think about that ?
Exactly! undecided

■ I don't know. I have never had anybody close to me locking up their children.

But all i know is a relationship can never remain the same after we come back from the police station.

Unless you want a divorce after that, i don't see why anybody would lock their spouse in a cell.
So the brutal crime committed isn't warrant enough for divorce, na the reporting of the criminal act be it? undecided

In the 90's where do you source your comic books from?

Why? Do you want to go back to the 90s and buy them?

Noo just curious. I didn't know that Nigeria had a comic book market. It's rare to have seen a Nigerian child really into comics.

Well, for me personally, this knowledge has largely been via nigerian media and anecdotal word of mouth.

There are various Nollywood movies that has presented this as fact, I vividly recall a certain "superstory" programme whose entire plot was centered around this particular tradition.

Also I've had a Yoruba associate of old confirming that this practice do happen in certain places in Ondo and osun.

But furthermore a little research seems to corroborate aspects of this as seen below.

You need to update your knowledge that that article or whatever has furnished you with.

Okay good.

Do u know why I asked u what it is called and the source of ur information? It is becasue I saw a misrepresentation in ur post and I wanted to know if it was ur source that was wrong or u were the one that innocently or knowingly misrepresented the fact.

It is a taboo in Yoruba culture for a son to have a sexual relationship with his mother. So when I saw ur post above talking about a son inheriting his father's properties , wives and his own mother; I knew that is one strong misrepresentation of facts.

Please modify ur post, there's nothing babaric in a family member marrying a widow. Almost all major tribes in Nigeria had such history in their culture.

That's just someone confused right there, the foolish man didn't help himself too by insulting those who called him out but he's apologised
What else do they want, if he want to have anything to do with her will it be in the general public

You don't need to be harsh. And actually, he did something very wrong there which I'm commenting on like everyone else on twitter.

He cut his grandpa and mum right in the middle of their speeches and said they should all walk out. That was highly highly disrespectful, you can see that via the expression on the mums face.

And talking about tolerance, I want to be sure that you're joking there because surely you can spot the irony. smiley
Almost on every social issues or topics discussed here, I'm the one fighting the intolerance from you guys and advocating for tolerance from people here who seem to have a very hateful conservative mindset, whether against women in general, western values or LGBT people.
So that advice is definitely not for me.

Burna Boy has never told you he had good character before so I don't know why people are even wasting their anger. In fact it puts everything in proper perspective now, if he fit run this one for him grandpa and mama presence why are strangers expecting better grin

My message is just short and simple. As far as Burna Boy didn't cause harm to anyone from the clip, you have no right to judge him. In case you don't know, that is peak woke culture and you support it to the core.
