If Nigeria women should detail the amount of abuse they go through In marriages you will be shocked. Abusing and treating women like properties is the cultural norms in Nigeria.

No Evidence but this is actually rich coming from a South African woman undecided

But the information is from a global methodology.

So what is the argument?

If you won't believe it, you should also not believe the unemployment rates of countries like the USA and UK because over there too there are millions of unemployed and under employed people too.
Nigeria being included makes the information a big fat lie.

Noo just curious. I didn't know that Nigeria had a comic book market. It's rare to have seen a Nigerian child really into comics.

You missed the point bro. That question can only arise if you are looking to buy comics in the 90s cos it's obvious that you and that nigga aren't on speaking terms so I don't see what merits small talk between you.

To answer your question though, some of my classmates bought comics aplenty in the late 80s and 90s especially the ones into drawing. I remember one nigga Eugene that could recreate any comic perfectly right from Primary 2 and always brought new comic to school to sketch out the pictures. That nigga was a genius. So comic was not beyond us, and it wasn't expensive either cos that Eugene no even get money, he was adopted by his aunty who wasn't too well off, but he had new Marvel or DC comic every week. I guess photocopiers reproduced the originals for mass consumption.

I truly hope women begin to counter this culture of wickedness at its core. A woman shouldn't sit and stomach abuse out of fear of divorce. A man who raises his hand to assault another(even his own wife) is a criminal and should not be harbored under the guise of keeping marriage. undecided

So you're South African?

Well, South Africa has the highest sexual violence rate in the world. WORLD, not just Africa.

With the new methodology
Unemployment rate (working age seeking a job and available to start working only)
Q4 2022 = 5.3%
Q1 2023 = 4.1% see attached image from the report

According to the NBS LFS, the unemployment rate was 5.3% in Q4 of 2022. The rate decreased to 4.1 % as more people reported they worked at least one hour a week in Q1 2023. So Q1 2023 is an improvement over Q4 2022.
Highlights from the report

% of working-age persons who are NOT employed (may or may not be seeking a job)
Q4 2022 - 26.4%
Q1 2023 - 23.3%

% who are self-employed
Q4 2022 - 73.5%
Q1 2023 - 75.4%

The proportion of employed persons who worked less than 40 hours per week
Q4 2022 - 36.4%
Q1 2023 - 33.2%

Underemployed rates among persons who worked less than 40 hours per week but would like to work more hours
Q4 2022 - 13.7%
Q1 2023 - 12.2%

Rate of informal employment - As a proportion of the employed workforce

Q4 2022 - 93.5%
Q1 2023 - 92.6%

% of people in the working population who were not seeking employment during the survey. This means more people started looking for jobs in Q1 2023
Q4 2022 - 22.3%
Q1 2023 - 20.1%

Currently off of the TL but thought to share this.

I have known Prigozhin for a long time, from the beginning of the 1990s,” Putin said of his former caterer. “He was a man with a complex fate. [Sometimes] he made mistakes; and [sometimes] he got the results he wanted — for himself and in response to my requests, for a common cause.”

“He was a talented person. He worked in our country, but also abroad, in Africa. He worked with oil, gas, with precious metals
,” Putin went on.

For the "Wagner does not operate in Africa" crew, that's Putin statement for his friend..I wonder what kind of job the Wagner boss was doing in Africa..

South Africa has one of the highest rates of UNREPORTED CRIMES.

In fact, the South African media says the reported crime rates are half or less of the true pictures of the crimes committed.
https://businesstech.co.za/news/lifestyle/713414/south-africas-true-crime-stats-things-are-worse-than-what-police-data-shows/

It's become a worry in South Africa that people rarely report crimes (until caught).

https://issafrica.org/iss-today/why-are-south-africans-underreporting-on-crime

Not forgetting that South Africa is the carjacking/car theft capital of the world.

Anymore thing to add to spite Nigerian men in favour of those who'd lynch you for your nationality?

You expect a woman to admit any wrongdoing?

Instead of her to admit her mistake or remain mute, she was blabbing.

Cos if you believe the unemployed citizens in UK is higher than that of Nigeria...

As usual the Nigerians on this thread lacks sense of reasoning. So you cannot see he was comparing both countries when it comes to reporting crimes and having a database. Does your country have any reliable database talkless of knowing statistics of reported domestic abuse?

Dude is a charisma machine. Robert Downey did well to boost Iron Man's appeal like you said his counterpart in the comics was as dry as AY's jokes.

Like you Spiderman and the Hulk were the characters I knew from marvel plus the fantastic 4 to some extent due to the Thing cartoon they showed back in the day.

Thing things, do your thing! That was the show with the Flintstones and the Shmoo.
Classic.

I can't believe i forgot the fantastic 4. They had a big presence in the 90s as well, as well as iconic villain in Dr Doom.

RDJ is 100% a charisma machine like you said. Marvel tried so many charismatic characters and somehow managed to flop - Wesley Snipes as Blade, Ed Norton as Hulk, Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider, Ben Affleck as Daredevil etc - but they all flopped until RDJ powered up the MCU.

It's kinda funny because Chris Evans played Johnny Storm in the Fantastic 4 movie series and flopped, only to be revived as Captain America by RDJ. John Favreau also played Foggy in the Daredevil movie only to be revived as Happy, literally RDJ's butler.

The only marvel movie series that did well was the Xmen series - but Marvel through absolutely everything at that series cast with names like Hugh Jackmsn, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Famke Jansenn, James Marsden, Brian Cox, Alan Cummings, Vinnie Jones, Michael Fassbender, James McEvoy, Sophie Turner, Oscar Isaac, Evan Peters etc.

They literally had to get Captain Picard, Gandalf, Jeffrey Dahmer, Sanaa Stark, Logan Roy, the Last King of Scotland etc, to carry a series, in a way that RDJ did SOLO.

Iconic shït.

I wouldn't say a very tiny fraction.

There's a difference between an Oko Polytechnic graduate, a FUNAAB graduate, a UNILAG graduate and a Covenant Uni graduate.

The quality of foundational education given to folks in these institutions vary.

Someone who studied in Oko or FUNAAB will really need to work extra hard to be on par with their UNILAG and CU counter parts.

And I don't mean just book knowledge. Being articulate enough to sell yourself, emotionally mature enough to ask questions when stuck and versatile enough to not stutter when you're asked about the latest trends in your career...

Intelligence varies oh. But school wey person go plays a big big role.

This is not totally true.
