If you really want to know, let the universities conduct a survey on how many of their graduates are employed gainfully and dish out the numbers; let's leave artisans out for now because most cannot even afford fuel to power their machines any longer. How you'll know is the astronomic drop from 33% to 5% so suddenly undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided

If you don't believe the 4.1%, how come you believed the 33% before?

My view is that both numbers were/are wrong.

Ask those youths if they are involved in one side job or the other.
There is no real safety social system from the Nigerian Government. Therefore, in such a system, most people can't just sit at home doing nothing. Hence, they are mostly underemployed not unemployed.

That's why I said "gainfully employed", this will also exclude those working in places not paying the minimum wage 😕😕😕

Nigeria on forward march.

Lazy youths should repent and take their jobs serious so they'll not fail job interviews, lose their jobs and suffer serious poverty in old age after wasting your youth on useless unproductive activities and horrible mindset. No govt is doing you, you are the one doing yourself and you will suffer if you don't change right now.

There's job now and when you're recruited, don't go there only to chew gum, toast girls, form nonsense empty-headed fine boy/girl, gist, gossip, slander, charge your phone and use their internet subscription to download/watch porn, telemundo, insult , cyberbully and play all day on Nairaland and other social media platforms.

O ye lazy Nigerian youth, quit laziness, late-coming, unpatriotic actions and pocket your nonsense arrogance, bigotry, hatred and entitlement mentality so you can learn, be productive and keep your job

Patriotic Nigerian youths will always give their best! Shout out to all diligent and patriotic youths out there. You are doing well. God bless you. God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!
I don't hate good news, but this one is gullibility taken too far. Like, what policies have we had since this year that has had the semblance of something that's job-creation friendly or empowering SMEs?

LoL, from 33% last year to 4.3%. Wow!
Re: Nigeria’s Unemployment Rate Falls to 4.1% by KaptainAfrika: 7:39pm On Aug 24, 2023
I saw the numbers and I thought it was the US, Canada or the UK...but Nigeria? This government is not ready to do anything with regards to job creation and opportunities - this bogus number will always be their go to excuse. I hope the emilokan brigade are happy. Kudos.

From 33.3% percent to 4.1% in 3 years? Just a few weeks after it was published that the country had the highest unemployment rate in the world? I'm all for the positivity, but this one is a bit hard to believe. If there was such a sharp drop in unemployment rate in such a short period of time, it couldn't have gone unnoticed by the citizens. People would have felt the impact. The worst thing we can do as a people is churning out false statistics. That can only lead to a silent death.
