Praktikals: Any way....if u got the NPC certificate recently... just say hospital given birth certificate has been in use which is accepted locally for all official needs....u recently took ur hospital given certificate to the NPC when the need for travel came up which requires NPC issued birth certificates... Make sure u have hospital issued birth certificate and hospital record like birth card which shows date, time and weight of child.... |

Hello all, I don't know if this is the right platform but I have a question regarding types of visas. I've rounded up my studies in the UK but I co-own a business with a Nigerian-British which was incorporated in April 2023. Besides the post-study visa, am I not eligible for another kind of visa? |

Ibaku: The only thing they can assist you with is to issue you a CoS and probably tick maintenance if you are less than 1yr in the UK |

advanceDNA:As long as maintenance is ticked on COS it is for main applicant and dependents. NHS rarely sponsors family? Please this is wrong information Sir/Ma 1 Like |
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by advanceDNA: 8:57am On Aug 27, 2023 |
giselle237: Okay.......u do realize an applicant can have 5 kids plus husband...me i have not seen NHS sponsor entire family for an overseas aplicant.. even though i ddnt say such doesnt exist If ticking sponsorship automatically translates to sponsoring the tire family no matter how many they are.......so why is ukvi asking her to provide account statement or note from sponsor?? . if there is no additional sponsor note on the cos saying entire family is sponsored together with the apllicant....ukvi now ask applicant to present account statement for their dependents or get the sponsor to attach additional sponsor note...... |
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by Tier4Dependant: 9:03am On Aug 27, 2023 |
advanceDNA: Valid Question. There is a reason why the phrase (and dependants, if applicable) is mentioned
|
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by advanceDNA: 9:24am On Aug 27, 2023 |
Tier4Dependant: If applicable naa... Ukvi is now asking if sponsorship is applicable to dependents naaa |
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by giselle237: 11:06am On Aug 27, 2023 |
advanceDNA:Hi. The rules are as clear as day and night for a skilled work visa as it is point based. The applicant just needs to point the ECO to where maintenance was ticked. And yes any employer can sponsor as many people as they want. It all boils down to the company’s policy. Does not have anything to do with family size. |

Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by advanceDNA: 11:46am On Aug 27, 2023 |
giselle237: Obviously the ECO is not sewing this so called clear as day rule....... the eco isnt asking the apllicant to provide explantion....the ECO is specifically asking for either an aditional sponsor note or a bank statement |
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by Abubanty: 5:12pm On Aug 27, 2023 |
advanceDNA: In the case of my wife COS from an NHS. Maintenance was ticked Y and they also added sponsor note stating only main applicant is covered. |
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by Tier4Dependant: 5:29pm On Aug 27, 2023 |
Abubanty: Which is exactly what the ECO is asking. So ticking maintenance is not only clear as day and night especially when you have dependants. The ECO wants to be 100% sure the maintenance is also applicable to the dependants. Hence the reason they asked for either a sponsor note or just simply show your financial evidence (bank statement) |
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by advanceDNA: 5:29pm On Aug 27, 2023 |
Abubanty: your wife's COS is clear naaa....which is the same case i have seen with most pple sponsored by the NHS.... I have plenty friends that works with the NHS...i have not seen anyone NHS sponsored togethered with the entire family.... nigerians wey dey born like say them dey 3 billion for account.... Mayb the OP is special...so NHS decided to sponaor the entire family but did not do so for others |

To those still in Naija planning to come over, please prepare 3months of stay money, rent, bills, food. No landlord here is renting to a newbie without payslip or records, that’s the first reality that hits you…..so let the MA come first or the MA with partner and leave the kids back first till you get accommodation, flatshare and spare room is your friend in those first months, so don’t think you are coming to put money down and rent instantly. When it comes to job, yes it’s saturated but still what I see……. opportunities still. First drop all your ego for Murtala Airport and be ready to hustle like you’ve never had a good life before. No one knows who you are here so they aren’t offering you that type of job you are used to over there. There are other things I want to say but I am still in my first month here, I’ve worked, I’ve lost opportunities and I’ve registered to have work license, like a work friend told me, “there are opportunities here but choose what you want to do and be intentional about it, start low and work your way to the top”. People will say don’t come but it’s your choice. If you won’t complain but ready to start low and be determined, come but if you think as you enter they will share job and money then rethink. It’s a new country, a place you know no one so expect difficulties as part of your journey, forget the beautiful places and concentrate on paying bills first. I hope this helps someone and less I forget as you still Dey Naija enjoy yourself oo, go to parties, hang out with friends and do your normal activities, when you get here, na you, your family and your God and work work work. Stop complaining about UK, dem no drag us here, na we apply to come, they have given us the lemon now let’s find a way to make lemonade out of it. 20 Likes |

This used to be the case but it seems Homeoffice is tightening the immigration process now because of the endless stories of people getting to the UK and unable to meet up with the basics bill - rent, food etc for the first few weeks reason they are now adding to the requirement. The applicant don't need to point to the ECO where the maintenance was ticked in the CoS as the ECO can already see that from their back office and the CoS PDF that I attached it was already ticked Y yet he demanded for Sponsor note or Bank statement in the MA or partner name. I've assisted and guided a couple of skilled worker visa applications and their dependent did use Bank statement, no Sponsor note and the usual maintenance was ticked Y and many did not even submit police report (dependents) and they got their visas but it seems that are changing now judging by my recent experience or maybe this just depend on individual ECO or something. In our case, I thought I didn't need PCC because of my experience with others I know who have toed this same route but the ECO requested last 2 weeks and after submitting it, just just last week again the ECO requested for a sponsor note or bank statement to be submitted in 10 days. I widely consulted and also sought opinion from people here like advanceDNA etc. and they all suggested I leave option A (Sponsor note) to avoid any unnecessary gambling with my application and opt for the Option B (Bank statement) as most likely the sponsor will not give a favorable outcome as regards the sponsor note. In fact, I've now sent a joint bank statement in the name of the MA and the partner to give it an added boost and now waiting for a decision as it has been since July 28th, 2023 that Biometric was done. giselle237: |

jowhyte:Maybe the applications you were doing were student visas. Please don’t say the wrong thing. ALL SKILLED WORKER DEPENDENTS ABOVE THE AGE OF 18 need a PCC for all countries they have resided in for over 12 months. Speak to those that work on tales. I do not. You didn’t submit PCC is on you and not the rules . Like I said, Home office is not a mechanic shop. Rules are rules. If they deny you, you simply appeal and will win based on rules . It is same rules that have given so many ways to exploit the system to obtain ILR and citizenship. As long as you can quote the laws and show them legally where they have erred, the case will always be ruled in the applicant’s favour. There is nothing like tightening. Any thing they tighten they make sure to go back to update the law on it. They would also announce that the laws have been updated, no matter how trivial it looks but the Secretary of State would be held accountable if this is not done. As long as maintenance is ticked for the applicant/dependents … they do not need to provide any additional bank statements. If the ECO denies you, please and please appeal, and send officers complaints. An Entry Clearance Manager would also handle the case and it would continue to go high up until you are satisfied. You can reach courts too to get justice. This system works. You will be vindicated and hugely apologised to. You guys should try and speak on what you know. Shalom |
