So does that mean her salary continues as N33,000?

I am shocked that after 22 years she is still less than 30 years old, which is the statutory age above which one cannot participate in the scheme.

It therefore means she graduated from University at 7 or 8 years old.

This is quite a feat, globally and is worthy of note.

You are interpreting the NYSC laws the wrong way.

The laws says once you graduate under 30 years of age, you must participate. If you graduate above the age of 30 years, you are entitled to get a waiver.

Kindly take note of the word I put in bold. That is the key word to interpreting the NYSC law. That was what they used to nail Kemi Adeosun back then. That so far you graduated under the 30 years of age, you must complete the national service. No matter what age you are at the moment. It is the age at the time of graduation that determines if you are eligible for National Service.

If you did not do it then, you can still come and do it at whatever age.

In fact, in a decided case before a Federal High Court Abuja in 2021, Justice Taiwo Taiwo ruled that the Constitution of Nigeria, which is the grundnorm, does not require anyone to even present a first-degree certificate or any other certificate, including the NYSC certificate to be appointed a Minister in Nigeria.
I see what you did there, Hajia.

Nigeria is really a joke. what experience does this one have to be made a minister in a complex country like Nigeria? I can't bliv that some pple will just sit down at the confines of their homes and share positions to their children, grand children, side chicks, godsons nd goddaughters nd we Nigerian youths are sitting down to clap for them. Why can't we rise up in unity to retire all these old men nd women that have destroyed nd bastardized this country? Nigeria needs revolution so let's stop living in denial.

At what age was Yakubu Gowon the Head of State? What experience did he have before then?! Don't forget he was the head of state during the civil war.

All I see is nothing but envy. Where did she get the experience from in politics?

So what then is all the fuss about having OLD MEN and WOMEN running the affairs of Nigeria ?

This is the most useless statement I have seen this year. Nigeria is a joke. NYSC Act states that a serving Corp Member shouldn't take any other job. Nigeria is a joke.

The NYSC does not permit it.
From 2001 to 2023 is enough for her to be above the 30 years old limit.
Having one set of rules for some people and another for the less privileged is why our country is like this.
Even NYSC has to explain how she was mobilized a second time. How did her BVN not show her age? Is CBN involved too? How did the security agencies skip this kind of important fact in their report? Were they compromised?
There should be a probe of the circumstances leading to this.

It is the age that she graduated that matters. Not her current age.

So far she graduated at under 30 years of age, she is expected to complete National Service. If she did not make herself available then, before she can get the clearance (certificate), she must make herself available for the national service, no matter the current age of the person.

she cannot win. have confidence in the laws. she has no way around the law. she's just trying to use words to outsmart us like her crying game in the senate

Kwa kwa kwa kwa kwa Laughing in Tiv lol the woman outsmarted Nigerians
She would win even if you take her to court because this appointment is just like a normal NYSC service under Nigerias constitution
Her advisers should get the best adviser of the century award, they thoroughly took the advantage of the loophole in the constitution

Nigerian law has really been bastardized thanks to our corrupt judges and politicians. Well whatever we turn the country to is where we end up. We will all die I one die wonder what generations will meet on ground. Maybe by then we don turn Somalia.
I weep for my beloved country . Nigeria will be great

She would win, she’s right under the constitution, you could differ your service and continue at the age of 60 and another thing is she’s 8 months into it before she was appointed a minister so this is just a reassignment under the constitution
SHE’s still in service
It’s just like when you want to avoid taxes, you make use of the loopholes and you make end up getting government to pay you instead of paying the government

You rushed to do Nysc as your last appointment was affected

If you were too big to serve your country then, your country should be too big to let you be its minister now

The National Assembly, security agencies and your principal failed in checking your background properly or worse still in turning a blind eye to your deceitf

This is not correct. The age is at the point of mobilisation.
You can't graduate at 21 and then mobilise for NYSC at 32.
When you serve, you will know better.

The position was likely already promised to her godfather by the agbado man while he was seeking office.

Knowing it was a prerequisite, she sharply got herself mobilised

What did you smoke really when you wrote this rubbish. Envy, for someone who was appointed in total disregard of the law she is still a serving corper she cannot hold ministerial position.

Exactly!

How did they write our constitution that ambiguity is the order of the day?
Many lawyers including Falana have said that she's breaking the law; here she's also quoting another lawyer who maintained that you don't need to even present a certificate to be a minister.

Why so many ambiguities?
25% of votes in Abuja is still in place either or not to being a President. What is in Nigerian law?

Her case is different, she started it before the age of 30 and differ it and continue at the age of whatever and during her service, she was reassigned to take up a position of a minister,it’s as simple as that
What she did is wrong but it’s just like a tax avoidance, there is nothing anyone can do about it under law
