Bayelsa Residents Break Into Warehouse, Steal 2022 Flood Palliatives by nlfpmod(mod): 4:22pm On Aug 28, 2023
Post Shared by Imran Muhammad on Twitter:

Some residents of Bayelsa on Sunday night broke into a warehouse in Yenagoa where 2022 flood palliatives were kept by the state government and stole some food items said to be already decaying.

The warehouse located along Isaac Boro Expressway in Yenagoa, the state capital, was looted by people

The Bayelsa State Emergency Management Agency (BYSEMA) said that the food items carted away were no longer good for human consumption, because it was stored during the 2022 flood in the state.

Re: Bayelsa Residents Break Into Warehouse, Steal 2022 Flood Palliatives by Racoon(m):
sad People are hungry, angry and despairing from the self inflicted hardship imposed on them via useless government catastrophic policies and yet the wicked government is stockpiling edible but easily degradable food items of this kinds?

Or be sharing a miserable 8k as palliative while bags of rice that a family of 4 may not eat for 2 weeks are now being sold between 50-60k/bag today and being stashed away to rot.

It's a shame. Bayelsa with ordinary 8LGAs and a meagre population is usually within the top 7states with monthly allocation, but the level of mismanagement of that state is on another level.

A supposedly homogeneous Ijaw state cannot become a good poster for other multi-ethnic states in the SS region.

Food that is meant to be shared to the less privileged, you stockpile them in a warehouse to rot!

How else can wickedness be defined??

These leaders need to face firing squad!
Re: Bayelsa Residents Break Into Warehouse, Steal 2022 Flood Palliatives by Nobody:
Apc no mean well for Nigerians. After blackmailing pdp, that nothing like subsidy, and fuel should be less than 100#.are now the enforcers of subsidy, using all their power to explain y we don't need it. The only thing I enjoyed in Nigeria was fuel at 100#, causing reduction in price of food and all other commodities. If we continue like this, in at most 2 years time, Nigerians eyes will be eventually open. They may remove tribal/religious sentiment used by politicians to control them and directly attack government itself. Any person who supports palliative will never end well, along with his unborn children

Maybe Nigerians need to revisit what was done during the lock down. How can people be hungry and a government allows food to decay.

Nigeria needs help.

Height of wickedness by the government. They will rather waste it than allow the poor to benefit from it.

The worst thing any youth in Nigeria would do to his life and destiny is to defend a Nigerian politician. They don't care about you. Leave them alone and Hussle for yourself cos they don't care if you go to bed hungry or you don't have a job... they just don't care.
