sad People are hungry, angry and despairing from the self inflicted hardship imposed on them via useless government catastrophic policies and yet the wicked government is stockpiling edible but easily degradable food items of this kinds?

Or be sharing a miserable 8k as palliative while bags of rice that a family of 4 may not eat for 2 weeks are now being sold between 50-60k/bag today and being stashed away to rot.
They didn't steal, they collected their palliatives. Be guided

Your comment is a good reason why Nigeria won't work even if divided into regions as separate countries.

^^^
That restructuring (by whatever criteria the people eventually decide - be it language, ethnicity, religion, region etc.) has to happen. The current structure is a big part of why this 'giant' undecided is a hobbled mess - that much is abundantly clear. But the current structure is also a convenient scapegoat for demagogues and charlatans like the Bayelsa state government (and others). The great re-set will expose them all.

Some people will be shocked when things get even worse for them in their new countries (freely chosen by the people in a referendum or some generally other acceptable means). Others will be pleasantly surprised as their new nations succeed beyond everyone's wildest expectations.

The restructuring has to happen so that the blame game can stop and leadership failure will have no where to hide and nobody to blame. The only problem is working out the details in a way that causes the least pain to all.

The Bayelsa governor responsible for this pointless waste of resources has a name. The LGA chairmen have names. The ruling party in the state has a name. If there was a committee or task force or whatever set up to oversee or coordinate the distribution of the foodstuffs - the committee and task force members have names. Say their names!!

Diri and the Peoples Democratic Party - what do you have to say for this senseless waste of taxpayers resources that happened on your watch? undecided

Stocking food items since 2022 to the extent that the items are getting expired, while people are dying of hunger. God save your people.

I was in Bayelsa during the 2022 flood. Some communities in Yenagoa received 2 derica of rice and garri, with 2 Indomie sachets and 5 Maggi cubes. This was what was given to people who were displaced by the 2022 flood which was said to be the highest experienced in the state in the last 20 years.

I am still yet to understand the reason why the government officials derive pleasure in making people who put them in that position to suffer by denying them the palliatives meant for them. Its disheartening
