Same Martinelli that scored 15goals last season fa!

Jodera:
I dey check Havertz stats, the only thing I dey see na "off the ball runs" , backline challenging runs" "darting runs".

Nothing else !!!!

I dey wonder weda na Usain bolt or Mo Farah we dey buy?? embarassed embarassed

Even him clips sef na very very average. Ordinary YouTube clips that can make Maguire look like Baresi but e reach Havertz turn, e still look average.

No signing don ever piss me off like this embarassed

Reading that from him felt like Deja vu. I have seen it over and over cheesy

I genuinely wanted the guy to succeed. I thought he turned a corner when Tuchel took over and he scored against City in the UCL. I thought that was the catalyst he needed. I wanted him to build on that momentum. By the end of last season, I just had to admit (like mostob will eventually agree) that the guy does not just have it in him.

If it makes you guys feel any better, between Mount and Harvetz, you guys got the better player grin

Which one be Stationary stage process again and then you still claim a process is always continuous?

Anyways make we just disagree to agree.

Hopefully, Arteta head reset this weekend. I even read that fans booed Havertz reason why Arteta quickly removed him that early time. Hopefully, it'll be a good sign he'll not start and that we'll revert back to our normal formation/personnel of last season.

I can't wait to have my arsenal I've grown to love back. embarassed
That is right bro. It is a simple fact.

Lol Football fans sef... Hossanah today, nail him tomorrow. E sure me say some of them booed Vieira when he was about to come in.

Odegaard vs Vieira is an example.

On this Havertz and Arteta matter, It is a matter of time.

I will like somebody to point out why Havertz is the reason we are selling ESR. Even if you bench Havertz, ESR still won't start.

I think ESR needs to calm down if truly he is getting angry due to lack of game time. Nelson, ESR, Tierney, Zinny and Partey(until recent at least) are players who are fond of getting injured unnecessarily. Just when you expect them to step up, you go hear say dem injured their fingers when using chopstick.

This same ESR was starting matches ahead of Martinelli when the latter was off form.
If ESR wan use strong head, they should sell him. He is not the only one not getting game time.

𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐄 𝐆𝐎! Lazio agree deal to sign Mattéo Guendouzi from Olympique Marseille ⚪️🔵
◉ €1m loan fee, €12m obligation to buy clause.
◉ Marseille & Lazio already signed documents.
◉ If all goes to plan player side, travel on Tuesday.
◉ Marseille will also retain 10% sell on clause.

Arsenal will get 15% of the fee!

Before the coming Havertz, we have 3 players that can dominantly play the AM role (Odegaard, Viera and ESR)

True ESR has a re-occurring knee injury and he was advised to go for a surgery to fix the problem permanently, which he did. We all know what he can do when fit and we also know he would be fit for this season. And what did Arteta do? He bought Havertz another AM.

Now we have 4 players battling for 1 or 2 positions depending on the game plan. How will that help their game time?

If anything, Havertz coming has only limited the time that will be available for ESR.

BTW, ESR injury played little role to our inability to win the league last season. If there is a department we were short, definitely not an AM. And since recovery ESR has proved to us that he has not declined with his performance at the last youth tournament.

So far we are yet to be convinced we really needed Havertz, even the fragile Viera has given us something in the few mins he played compared to Havertz while we still have a fit ESR that have not seen a minute since the start of the season and only played for 3mins during the community shield. So you think the coming of Havertz is not / will not affect ESR gametime?

We needed a backup for Partey, we signed Rice. We needed to replace Xhaka, we signed Havertz. Also, there has been questions on this thread on whether ESR can play the 8 comfortably because defensively, he is lacking.

Even without Havertz, ESR won't start. The earlier he realizes he is down the pecking order, the better for him. Havertz vs ESR is a useless debate for me. I believe different players suit different formation.

Did we need Havertz?

Before we signed him, there were reports that Arteta needed someone who we give us the height advantage at the final third. Do you know Xhaka used to be the tallest among the front 5? Why Havertz and not a striker? Probably due to Nketiah and Jesus. I mean, watching Havertz against City, you can catch a glimpse of his hold-ups anytime we go long.

Has he justify his signing? No

Did we need a player of his profile? Yes

Is it too early to conclude? Yes IMO

Raphael Varane will miss the game against Arsenal this weekend due to suffering an injury against Nottingham Forest.

If Rice is Partey's backup then we can only play one of them at a time. while Havertz remain in Xhaka's position. But you and I know that is not what is being played out.

Well it is Arteta's mess, he should clear it. He did the analysis and made the decision and will face the consequences.

But I know for sure, irrespective of anyone defense of Arteta, not a few fans will not forgive him if ESR is frustrated out. And woe betides him if he ends up the season without a solid trophy with all these hyper-Gurdiola thinking, he should be told that Pep got away with many of his crazy decisions because he kept on winning.

lol...I still have faith in him o. He should just take correction and not overdo himself.

He should not mess up what he created that is working for a fancy idea or try to prove an unnecessary point.

He don buy Havertz, nothing can change that again, let him use him gradually...maybe overtime havertz will prove himself

But he should not choke him down our throat and disfigure the team structure...just to justify his purchase... Winning matches is more important to us than losing or gaining from Havertz. We survived Pepe, we can survive Havertz too... but we need medals.

Arsenal have turned down all official requests for ESR. Arteta has insisted he is in his plan. Only a huge offer, way above market value or personal transfer request will see him move.

One of the challenges we had last season was a weak bench and a lack of magicians who can affect the game as subs. You (not really you) that is shouting Vieira upandan now, was criticising his signing and calling him weightless.

The reason Havertz was signed was to improve the overall quality of the squad.

One important key we need to have whenever we are analysing Arteta is that his tactics are heavily dependent of the Inverting midfielder- whether it is Zinny, Timber or Partey. Now whichever of these three Arteta chooses to invert will determine who the other players will be and which part of the formation will dominate the passage of play.

Havertz is meant to create one of such outlets. He is meant to be to Martinelli what Odegaard is to Saka.

I have said here before that my challenge with him is that being a leftie, he will not create the kind of quick transitions I love as seen between Saka and Odegaard. However this is merely speculative as he will need some time to blend before I reach any reasonable conclusions. Hence I would have preferred ESR.

You can't blame fans, after all dem dey pay to see correct football and players. And one thing I love about our fans Is that once you've made in standing, you'll hardly get booed. Moreover, I don't think Viera don enter black book for him to get booed.

For Havertz to receive booing, make you know how frustrating he is/was. Even Mustafi no even receive booing sef
