Don't think that Whitey would be willing to recolonize anyone.

We got independence in part because running colonies is expensive. It even got worse after world war 1, and especially after ww 2.

I don't think that ANY european country can handle colonial rule again.

May God not allow the sit-tight and leadership by force attitude of some African leaders destroy our beautiful continent.

Can military coup work in Nigeria in this century?

It won't last at all, before everyone divide

No military can keep Nigeria as one because we already sit on the fence, any military coup will give opportunity for us to disintegrate

Thou Military Rule is not Ideal but this So called Democracy as Practiced in Africa is a total sham,the politicians are just looting anyone.
Nigerian Government can't even build affordable houses for the citizens but one politician spends #1b to build just a house that would provide house for 10,000 families

3.Yes, I am ANGRY with the way our civillians have run us,(even to the point that I am very cynical about APC, PDP, LP, and company) but Army rule was no better either, no be the same Nigerians? Also, the same issues of nepotisim, no jobs, no light, tribalisim, religious violence, ethnic violence, and so forth were there under army. And corruption, massive corruption.

I think you missed the fact that though industrial capacity is important, the world has changed to a knowledge economy, and many parts of the South have this economy.

In terms of industrial capacity, what you need is energy, manufacturing equipment (mix of imported and made in-country), know-how, logistics and a favorable policy.

For the South-East,

- Energy is there 100% (imo state alone has 25% of all proven gas reserves in Nigeria)

- Manufacturing - at least 40% in Aba, Nnewi, Awka, Onicha, Enugu etc are available for basic needs. Then agric processing equipment can be made. The rest can be imported and later developed in country and we know the South East merchants are experts in importation.

- Know-How: undisputed experienced and learned people

- Logistics: Could be fast tracked when you have enough energy to make things and energy to sell in exchange.

- Policy- These people have been yearning for better policies. Nigeria has just not made and implemented them due to varied interests.

Now top it up with some of the best sales skills and business tenacity in the world, what do you expect?

I can speak for south east and some south west who will be fine too.

So, Nigeria can split and the different parts will survive and even excel

Division won't solve our problems.

Yes, we all hear how the old Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia split...but the thing is, many of the new countries had something Nigeria does not have as a whole....industrial capacity, and the means of producing and exporting industrial goods.

My palaver with splitting Nigeria is simple. No part of Nigeria can survive on its own at all, yes, including Biafra. None of your states and LG areas can survive on their own

And with the way that minority tribes are agitating for more rights...even back when there was Biafra....the problem continues.


We could have chased out APC this time, but the opposition was divided between Atiku and Obi supporters, and we lost again.
