well some of you are probably, below 30 so you didn't experience, military regime, because if you do you not talk like this, check your history or Google how Nigeria was before military regime, especially before 1984 buhari took over, see in military regime just know you don't vote your leader o, they appoint to you who ever they like, and you don't argue with them,if you questions their leadership style, the kill the person, nobody can do anything about it o,no courts of justice o,
Every player in the military regime in Nigeria is a millionaire today till date, they all crumble Nigeria economy to their individual pucket, the only man who didn't steal public money
is buhari, that is why he came back as civilians and crumble Nigeria economy, what he fail to do 1984,in military regime you can't carry some hair style o or girl wearing trousers hmm
You guys don know any thing poverty was the other of the day you can't insult the president o even on social media,no freedom
What is the difference? Atleast everybody will be under military rule , not the authocracy you call democracy were some people will be winch hunted , court oder will be disobeyed and same you here will say its polictics . The soldiers swore an oat to protect the territorial integrity of the country and anybody found voileting the rule of law should be considered an enemy of the state.

Coup is sweeping across Africa. The question is 'Who is next'?
Only those who have carried out civilian/democratic/electoral coups recently should be worried.

Away from that, i fed this news article to a Predictive model i built and here is how it performed. I will be posting tutorial about it. Kindly give me a follow if you want to learn about machine learning

You will never also open your mouth and say if we have military, most of this kidnapping and banditary would have been a thing of the past.

But as much as we do not cherish military government, let it be known that when their military decrees are made no one violate it. But what did we have under our so called democracy, only the poor man is made to obey the the law, the politicians are above the law. That is why if you steal a goat, you will be sentenced to many years in jail, while politicians that stole billions are moving freely on our street. Those who did not participate in primary elections at their party level were given ticked due to their deep pocket, even those they shamelessly put on trial were released on technical grand, not because they are guiltless, where is the place of democracy in all these, African definition of democracy, is the government by few for the elite and by elites. If democracy must strive in Africa, rule of law must be applied to all.

See the no-nonsense face...!

Kinda reminds me of Maj. Gen. Idiagbon, who would have probably made a far better president than Buhari.

Buhari seems to have a history of being Principal to far better qualified men. undecided

ReubenE:
While all the things you stated above is generally true about military regime especially in Nigeria, the country is still suffering all of them under civilian rule even on a larger scale.
Poverty and strife is the order of the day and there is open stealing in government which ordinary people like you and I can't do anything about.
About the freedom of expression or insulting somebody, it is still the same the populace is suffering. Anybody that the president decide to deal with today for insulting him, nobody can do anything about it just like how it is obtainable under military rule.
Is there any law that the Nigeria government respect? The Nigeria government since 1999 has assumed the position of being the law onto itself.
When you juxtapose military governments in Nigeria with their civilian counterparts, the military is even miles ahead of the civilians in terms of national development despite their corruption. There is hardly any national infrastructure in Nigeria today that you can point to that was not built under the military. The civilians are only doing refurbishment...there is hardly anything of note that they have done. Though we don't wish for military rule because the military should never have any business with running government. Demonizing them in comparison to the crooked civilians we have in government is what I will never stand in support of.

However, I disagree with you that Buhari came back as a civilian president to wreck the country which he was unable to do in 1984. Buhari was a failure in 1984, and a failure in 2015.
I don't know your age, but I tell the worst civilian government in Nigeria is better the best military rule.

At least from records we are yet to see the military holding salaries of workers during their era, that's the number one means of working against the economy by your so called angels of politicians.
