Igbos eat ewedu leaves not as soup but in porridge. Don’t turn it to tribal war
Look at this hypocrite. Why can't you call out your Igbo brother and sister that first turned it to tribal bashing.

You instead went for the guy that educated US nairalanders about the food.

This thread was not even about Ewedu till your daft brother tried to use it to score tribalism points..

This insect is edible and quite popular in yoruba land too, especially in Osun and Ibadan...

It's called monimoni or kanni, it is so delicious in vegetables 😁😁😁 , eguisi and okra soups..., I for one grew up in ile-lfe Osun state so this insect was a part of our everyday delicacy, especially in soups...

It's usually sold in it dried form.
Not this particular one but I know the one you're referring to.

I was actually educated from that post. I would start incorporating Ewedu into my meals. Any food The Mediterraneans people eat, forget it, it would be extremely healthy.

When I schooled in the US, western countries people don't joke with Mediterraneans foods and oyinbos always pay premium for them as they are always recommended by nutritionists and doctors.
Thank you bros. It's because of post like this that encourages me to continue my stay on Nairaland.

I'm a well traveled Nigerian from the South South region and I'll pick Amala/Ewedu/Gbegiri over any kind of assorted rice meals, any day.

Though there's no denying the fact that the recipe's outlook doesn't make for pleasantness, at a glance. It leaves you with the feeling that all is not going to be well with your stomach, after consumption. But reverse is the case.

It's one Yoruba meal that cuts across borders, specially when prepared with entrails from the cow or goat meats..😊. Just stretch out two fingers and the thumb, one lump in the soup fetches the soup and about two passengers, and be sure to keep your mouth close to the plate, then drive the entire bulky vehicle of culinary richness into your palates, and feel the explosive wealth of tastes dancing all the way down your oesophagus.

Nothing hits harder than when you consequently wash down with a cold Heineken beer! You most certainly can forget your existing girlfriend at that very point, while stretched on that chair, right in front of a very functional fan.

you're complaining about a few bugs when a company in England has 3D printed £6 billion pounds of human meat for consumption within the last year and are hoping to expand more. There's also a serious campaign currently going on to ban the consumption of regular meat and birds due to "climate change" and switch to insects instead
