I will pick this over Ewedu soup any day.
It is better I die from eating a fashionista worm than I die from eating hydraulic soup stirred with toilet brooms.

Ngwá people in Abia State and mbaise people in Imo State eat this thing. They call it nduwelele. They fry it and use it to cook soup. Has a distinct smell and taste. Very nutritious.

So I often take exception to odon been called "edible worm". They aren't worms. They are the larvae of the palm tree beetle. These "creepers" are also most likely pupa or larvae of some insect. So for me they aren't different. I ko sure say I fit chop these "creepers" as you call them. It's social and cultural conditioning that makes us eat what we eat.

What’s “ODON”
