Driver share ke...police share loot with driver?
That's hard to believe. Except the driver tipped them off.

Some riders actually believe drivers purposely take routes that have Police check points or that they are the ones informing Police and that they are working with police.

Some drivers actually do that and such drivers should be burned alive.

I always take my riders through the routes that I know we won't meet police, but many of these riders would be asking me why I didn't take that routes they know
Na so so questioning until I tell them the reason for not taking the routes they expected.
E get one wey vex me pass; the small girl was challenging me say why I no take that particular route wey she know, I told her that police always mount that side and they will definitely stop us and me I don't have problem with them, na you dem go search your bag and it would look like and embarrassment.
Dey plenty like that.
I hate this police asking my passengers to come down of the car and bring out their bags and they will start searching for wetin no lost, that act is an harassment to me. Vex dey enter my body sometimes that I would raise voice to the police.
Stop harassing my passengers for damn sake! angry
So, because of that, since I know almost all places those police dey mount, I dey always take alternative route cos I can't withstand that their mumu acts.
Though they're doing their job, but it looks illegal to me.

No put mouth for Passenger Police issue o. Fresh boys and innocent girls have been caught with exhibit countless times. Even the IJGBs wey look responsible. Ur own is to take people from point A to Point B. Ask if they have a preferred route or if u should follow map. This way nobody will quarrel u if something goes wrong along the way.

If u must avoid police tell ur rider ahead of time, let them give u go ahead first. Things dey occure o.

Beautiful day to all investors here on nairaland.

If you have a car parked, you are not driving it. Why not allow the car to make you and I money.

Investor/partner who is ready to buy a car and put it on rental or HP depending on the investors preference is welcome.

I will handle the car with utmost care, I have basic background knowledge in vehicle maintenance.

I am ready to pay weekly depending on our agreement

I will provide verifiable guarantor as needed.

I live in a gated compound, car security is guaranteed.

I no dey interfere when they're doing their searching, but when they find nothing but still looking for wetin no lost, na that moment e dey vex me onto say they are wasting my own time and the whole scene starts looking like harassment on my rider.

The impact will not be felt on ehailing, the reason is rail transportation can't take you to your doorstep unlike ehailing and also rail does not cover all part of Lagos.

Yea that's true . I saw some drivers argue about this on Facebook when it wasn't commissioned . It's has been commissioned today sha The price is like 750 from marina to Mile 2, but lagos state Government don slash the price to 375 for the time being. I dey reason that 750 price is too much sef

Who speed hep?? When no be Calabar or Potiskum I dey go.

If u speed, u reach ur destination faster, and u burn more fuel. In both scenarios, u lose money. Never been a fan of speeding while on within town trips.

U probably don't appreciate the car because u started with a hybrid. That 30litres fuel u use for 2 and half days, many people use it or more on a full days job.

Target 30k - 35k daily gross. After fuel and app commission you should have 20k daily take home. So if you work Monday - Saturday, then you should net 120k or at worse case 100k weekly. But don't forget to save for repairs. Because your car MUST be in good condition at all times.

This is different from my own point.
First, so, rider go deny me for what? Say I no be Uber driver? cheesy
Secondly, your story. shocked shocked shocked lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed inside life.
However, your story is different from my own sha. Mine is that I will stop if police are checking, but when dem no find anything implicating on my riders, then I shouldn't be delayed any further. Looking for wetin no lost dey vex me and that's when I voice out.
Because of this, since I know all the places they are always mounted, I avoid that route so that I can take my rider from point A to point B.
In the case of your story, no rider fit tell me not to wait when we jam police for checking, I am a bit experienced in this hustle, so, I know what's right.
The way I avoid police is the same way I avoid taking routes where I know FRSC and VIO dey, not that I am driving with anything offensive, but I hate their acts and time wasting. I run Indrive, not Uber or bolt that will increase my fare.
God no go shame us sha.

Much respect, boss.

In other news: proof of ownership is now renewable yearly. If you want to do your road worthiness, na then you will pay for the proof of ownership (1k) together with the road worthiness price. It's now inevitable.

Do soft work on weekdays (Tuesday - Thursday).
Put your target @30k on weekdays, with 10k fuel in your Corolla, 30k will be met easily.

On weekends (Friday - Sunday), work with enthusiasm by putting your target @35k - 40k. 13k fuel will definitely give you that weekend gross. If you're someone who can start driving very early in the morning, you definitely will gross more than that.
Note 1: don't joke with maintenance of your car. With slightest fault signs from your car, attend to it immediately, as someone already said.
Your net profit depends on the app you're using.

Note 2: never skip Sunday's work. smiley

Much respect, baba.
