I don't think this is needed. If 750 is the amount that would ensure that the rail runs smoothly and adequately maintained, I don't see any need for the reduction.
Get real, please! We only have governments that want to extort the people.
The N750 is high, for a mass transport system with no holdups or traffic jam. They are only reducing the price because they are scared of what might happen if there should be any mass protest against the removal of fuel subsidy and the current hardships in the country
The N375 is okay and they should be able to adequately maintain the trains with that, and any further increments in the fares should be gradual

Igbos contibutes a lot in developing Lagos.
Can you people rest?

This nonsensical rhetoric is becoming irritating. Lagos like Abuja, is a melting point for all Nigerian tribes. Igbos are not the only ones living, working, doing businesses and paying taxes in Lagos. This persistent chant of Igbos developing Lagos is being blown to provocative proportions.

You people are in the habit of courting hatred towards yourselves, only to end up lamenting tomorrow when others come at you. Can't you folks just keep a low profile sometimes? Haba!

Don't bring igbos to neutral issue.

This benefits both igbos and non igbos.

Like what is the need for tribe here.

Is it only igbos that live in Lagos.

If they contribute then they also gain.

yorubas can't afford 750. Most of them in lagos are wretchedly poor. Na only molue fit last because of very cheap prices. 250 won't keep these trains for long

Nigerian airways
Nigerian railways
Nigerian refineries ..

All were ruined due to action like this by the government. Let customers pay the right prices so the infrastructure can be maintained and service level retained. Unless the prices were exploitative before, this move will back fire.

I really have a problem with those of you who toe this line of thinking. I'm sure you support a hike in university fees? You need to understand it's a two way thing. The abroad taxes some of una dey eye, they have at least a minimum acceptable standard of living. Do we have any in Nigeria?

This would really help those who live within Surulere axis and work on the island. They can find their way to national theater, then board the train for N250 to marina.

I'm looking forward to more destinations.
if you enter bus from Surulere to Cms is just #300 transport fare .

Is train the only means of movement along that route?

You guys like quoting developed nations but are not willing to pay for the same quality of service like they do.

Why slash prices from day one? Subsidizing train transport again. There is nothing like taxes here. If the T-fare has been subsidized, it is just a matter of time before operations grind to a halt.

Unless you can prove the initial prices released were exploitative, it is a wrong move.

Yes I support a hike in university fees. We cannot call our universities trash, when what we pay as fees is also trash. We also need to pick one.

U're contributing to develop another person land while ur own is in the state of shambles, pls what sense of gesture is that?
Lagos is so envious because of its development and some flat heads thinks they should rewrite her storyline to fit for their stealing but the yoruba are more advanced and articulate than they imagine and are very much ahead of them in terms of civilization hence coming to lagos becomes a fulfilling dream in the East while the owners of Lagos thinks of UK, US n European countries.

Anyone who bites the fingers that fed him or her such a person will definitely perished

This is a beautiful News today in Nigeria!
Sanwo-Olu, indeed,you are a good Leader,with Listening Ears!
That is what Democracy can offer and do- even where the Officials might not be having the true pictures, but they later see the true pictures and adjust to the Masses cry, unlike the army dictators regime! I once wrote on this Price that it should be reduced for the Masses and here we are now!
God bless Sanwo-Olu
God bless Lagos State
God bless Nigeria and more Progress!
