Please what questions were your family and friends asked during the verification process? Were they also asked about your past trips outside the country

They were given a form to fill,and asked random questions about me(no one could.give me a specific question) and they lawyer asked for pictures from my baptism,my baby pictures,our family pictures and my pictures from secondary school and luckily I had pictures of myself with those I put in the form. The lawyer also took pictures of them while they were filling the form and also pictures of their ID. The form had lots of question about my education,my work,my husband,where we meet, when i married,any previous marriage and children etc things like that

Yes cos i was working and I also gave the embassy a letter from my boss. To the best of my knowledge, you shouldn't be idle because 2years plus is a long time to wait for visa and you'd be asked in the interview why you are idle.

what type of visa are you applying for? If its family reunion,check on thier website you'd see all the documents required. It can't be just passport,form and visa fee.

My wife had her interview sometime in April and the lawyer already completed the visitation round in June. We're currently waiting for the confirmation of the verification completion. Hopefully soon

I feel your pain because am having similar issue with approval, but I believe we will all receive good news soon as long as our God liveth. Try your best as human and leave everything for God, He knows the best time.

Please, Is there a way one can collect back his/herdocuments/certificates from the embassy before they conclude everything? In case one need them for something else.
This one that they holding documents for almost one year in the name of verification. Will I get them back immediately if I need them?

I don't think they will release the documents back to you because you do not know when exactly the verification process will start. The only time you have to submit your documents is during your interview appointment. You are allowed to submit missing documents later but returning your documents before visa stamp is very unlikely. Your can also call the embassy to find out though. Maybe it could be possible but I doubt. My humble opinion.
