I was actually expecting price to rally into the 4h fvg_sibi before dropping to clear off the lows on both EU and GU, but price didn't do that do took a loss on both trades.

in no way am I trying to paint trading in a bad light, I used to be highly against the notion of trading not being gambling until my losses in forex started piling up.


I began to make some research on gambling and the similarities was staggering....

a gambler makes bets, a trader places trades
a gambler looks at odds, a trader Risk to Reward
a gambler looks at team stats, a trader Backtests
a gambler and a trader both have winning streaks
and losing streaks
both are constantly trying to predict the future
both believe they can achieve financial freedom
both have 95% who lose money constantly and 5% who make large withdrawals
both can lose all their fortune in a day

but at the end of the day Forex traders have it worst, why? they still want to believe they are not gamblers,, and that right there makes it difficult for their brains to fully permit them to take on the mindset and form of a Truly profitable Trader...

Everybody dey take risk, even market makers.. however; it's calculated risk.
I have seen folks call forex scam after they failed to breakthrough 😹
Let's Keep prop firms aside.. believe me, men are cashing out from this bussines on low.. and they don't brag

even in trading too,, you can never be sure of any single trade you take, wether you backtest for 100yrs chart data, that right there is the illusion that forex wants to give you

I have taken a trade that I was 100% sure to make profit, Backtested a lot of times with high winrate, trade still failed.... when you have taken over 1000 setups,, you begin to see how the moment you bring in CERTAINTY in forex due to any strategy, you instantly remove RISK MANAGEMENT....

nothing here states anything about strategy, risk management or psychology....

the man was all about PROBABILITY

this same probability is why betting companies and casinos are billion dollar industries
and the principles of these casinos is what can make any trader become profitable

I couldn't agree less, as someone who has experience in betting I want to tell you that you still have a chance of making it in forex than betting, forex market Always respects someone levels this I know for a fact, these are what the professionals can see. And there are rules that guides forex day in day out, I read a book which says professional trading is always boring because there are rules which guide professionals, the wake up to this these rules each day and all they do is follow them and repeat thesame over and over again. All we have to do is just figure this damn thing out.
