I saw that Soma claimed he has never been gifted by fans.

I would like to categorically state that this is a lie, and he was, in fact, gifted the latest IPhone at the time he left the house.

He was loved by a lot of people, even if he didn't stay long. His story was unfortunate, because he came up against the Top 2 Housemates on the show, but he had fans, and if the lineup was different, he could have easily scaled it.
