I would advise you transfer money from your business to your salary acct for at least 4 months if you can do 6 months great .

I also run my business and that's what I did . I used a 4 months statement .

They are of the opinion that corporate account is not for you alone but your business with other stake holders so using it alone for vacation can be questionable especially if it's not heavily funded .

Secondly using a salary account also saves you the stress of explaining lump sum and providing evidence to back it up.

Yes,once dey issue you the new one ,the issuing officer will collect and stamped "cancel without prejudice" on the old passport and return both the old and the new passport back to u, this signify that the old passport was officially cancel by them,then,the use of the new one begins,use rubber band to hold the 2 together and send it for your Visa,no any problem at all

Will the number of days of visit i write in my application determine the duration the canada visa officer will issue? I am planning to stay for two weeks but I dont mind extending the days a bit if it will allow me a multiple entry or longer visa validity so I can visit in and out in future ?

The validity of your passport and the period you did your biometrics determines the duration of your visa.

For example if your passport will expire in 2033 and you just did your biometrics this year you will get 10 yrs.

If your passport will expire in 2025 and you did biometrics this year you will get two yrs

If you did biometrics 6 yrs ago and you have a new 10 yrs passport you will only get 4 yrs because biometrics will expire then since it's valid for 10 yrs
So they issue based on which ever comes first .
Secondly, t's okay to change your mind about how long you want to stay but I will advise it should not be more than one month, since you plan to make multiple entries .
it's assumed that if you have something doing like a job or business in Naija why would you leave it and come and stay in Canada for months .

You can always change your return ticket when you are already inside .

Yes it's a visit visa , yes I booked an appointment.

Photocopy of my BioData page ( write your phone number & email add on it )
The photocopy of BioData page with the biometric sticker .

Because I am picking up myself I was asked to pay 1650 for sms charges . But if you want courier , the location will determine the amount .

Hello everyone, I’m in a dilemma.

I applied for visitors visa through an agent in April, 2023 and did my biometrics. I regularly asked him for updates but I noticed he was shady about it, but he regularly told me to wait, hoping to get a response. I asked him to share my the gckey login, and if he wasn’t comfortable, he should do screenshots. He didn’t do any.

Last month, I got admission and paid the deposit. I asked him for updates too, so as to know what to fill in my study visa application - so that the information provided will correlate with whatever he filled - but he’s not been helpful.

I’m considering asking him to withdraw my application, but my issue is that;

1. If asked if I have applied to Canada before, and I tick yes, will I be asked details of my visitors visa application?

2. If I tick yes, and asked to tick if my visa was approved or denied, what do I do?

3. I have my UCI and other info in my biometrics instruction letter, can I use that to access my application and see everything? If yes, how do I go about it please?

The minimum I saw when applying was 4 months for visitors visas but I hear some students used 4 months and they were either denied or asked for updated statement .
So I don't think you should use any statement less than 4 months

It does , the amount vary depending on how long you are staying , if you are staying in a hotel etc.
By the time you estimate the ticket price , hotel , feeding and local transport , tourism etc
The total should not be more than one third .of your acct balance .
You are not expected to use all your life's savings on a vacation .

The details should be updated in another 2 days ( biometric date and expiry date ) but your status will then be biometric in progress.
It may take another 10 days for the biometrics to be complete .

Last year February my husband and I applied for a visit visa to Canada hoping we would give birth there as I was already 2 months pregnant. However the visa didn’t come out till June this year. After we got our passport stamped we had to apply for our one year old baby’s visiting visa as well as I had already had a baby since last year July..
I got an admission to study in Canada for January 2024 and I want to apply for my study visa now. It’s just me and my son that are going my husband is staying back in Nigeria (although we both have visiting visa) . My issue here is my baby’s visiting visa that we applied for in July isn’t out yet. Should I go ahead and apply for my study visa alone without attaching him since his visit visa application is still on going? What if I get the study visa and his visit visa is still not out. I’m really confused. Help me out guys

Did the relative say expressly that he will be responsible for your ticket , accomodation, feeding and any other cost ? Will he send the invitation letter ,bank statement , utility bill , pay slips and a doc that mentions his status ? If all the above is yes .
Remember they still access the individual applying , what do you so here, having some money in your acct where your income goes into will be a plus even if the balance isn't enough to fund your trip . It's just to show ties .

Ask him to get you the visitor visa application form and applied for study permit . No need of cancel or withdraw previous visitor visa .
