As a food enthusiast, rice is my favourite of all foods, simply because it's so versatile.
There's so much you can do with rice.
There are so many recipes you can create with it.
The possibilities are just endless.

So, I did a research on rice dishes from other countries, and these are some of the ones that I really really like (judging by their ingredients and method of preparation)

Let's begin with the queen mother of rice dishes.

Nigeria's jollof

Main ingredients: Rice, meat of choice (usually chicken), tomatoes/peppers blend, spices, etc.

Kenya's pilau

Main ingredients: rice, beef, variety of aromatic spice, etc.

We eat rice everyday yet it still manages to be the star of every occasion. Rice is bae.

Senegal's thieboudienne

Main ingredients: broken rice, fish, vegetables, herbs, tomato paste, peppers, etc.

I know.

Mediterranean yellow rice

Main ingredients: rice, olive oil, garlic, turmeric powder, cilantro, etc.
(It's usually served as a side)

Brazil's galihnada

Main ingredients: rice, chicken, sausages, onions, garlic, fresh tomatoes, carrots, turmeric, parsley, etc.

I like this one.

Indonesian nasi goreng
(Fried rice)

Main ingredients: rice, chicken, garlic, red chili, onion, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, eggs, etc.

I like this one too.

American jambalaya

This is a rice dish that is made with all kinds of orisirisi.
With meat (or chicken), shrimps, sausages, vegetables, spices, etc, it is sure to be packed with flavours.

Spanish paella

Main ingredients: chicken, rice, (shrimps), onions, garlic, fresh tomatoes, saffron, vegetables, spices, etc.
