Bola Tinubu kept blabbing about restructuring and resource control when he was a Lagos agbero Governor and Yorubas thought he was serious, they never knew the guy na confirm criminal thug who knows how to deceive others to get what he want.



If Tinubu and Yorubas truly believed in restructuring that they had been clamoring for decades, this is the best opportunity for them to restructure Nigeria the way they desire.

Clear definition has always been one of the ruses these guys play on the unassuming mass.

I recall when our Rtd General used CHANGE and NEXT LEVEL as his slogan. No one bothered to ask about the exact kind of change. But when the time came, even those who were shouting Sai Baba would've shot him of they had a gun and the old blocked eared man was unfortunate enough to be in front of them.

That Baba removed Ambode simply because the governor said they should decongest Lagos. That scared Baba Tinubu like mad.

Tinubu did not even campaign with those thing, he literally did not campaign at all.

They stopped talking about it because in the long run it won't be profitable to them as resource control actually ensures the states become prosperous while the citizens will likely be gainfully employed!
An average politician doesn't want to change the status quo!
How do they engage jobless youths to fight for their selfish ambition if most of them are gainfully employed?

2) saying no one cares about restructuring is a big lie, people want regional autonomy, people want state Police, people want different state created

And you think the wise thing for him to do now is to start restructuring a government that is just 3 months old when we know some regions will not support it. Moreover, it's the national assembly that will do that in the form of constitutional amendment.

It is not the right time.
Worse, the hasty policy missteps eroded a lot of the administration's political capital.
That's besides the legitimacy crisis.

Perhaps it'd be possible in his second term.
But right now, they have to be careful with their utterances.
If we're already hearing rumors about an Akpabio impeachment, then yea, they have to tread lightly.

Moreover, the administration has not settled in.
They're still approving appointments.
I'm waiting for the trillion naira Southern projects.
Don't care about the sub-region.
We can't hinge all our hope on the North being amenable to loosening their vice-like grip.

Tinubu removed subsidy and devalued the Naira, with the North suffering outsized impact.
He also wants to start a war on their borders.

How will the south balance the north when the north almost constituted 2/3 of Nigeria landmass and greater than 55% of the population? Or are you planning on shifting the lines further up incorporating north central into the south?
How will the whole Nigeria zones vote for restructuring when its alleged that its a sort of vendetta against some regions?

Oga, stop arguing. If Nigeria wants to make progress, we must start somewhere. Take restructuring one step at a time. Return to regions or allow states to control their resources and pay taxes to the centre. Have state police too.

El-Rufai went round the country to get the opinions of Nigerians about how they wanted the country to be restructured. At the end of the exercise, he submitted his report to Buhari and Buhari dumped it. What happened to that report? Why wasn't it implemented? The senate did the same thing and still dumped the report afterwards without implementing it.

The man I blame the most in all this Goodluck Jonathan, a man from South South who didn't have balls like his people. For all the years Diepreye Alamieyeseigha was active in politics, he championed resource control. Jonathan, his one-time deputy, got the opportunity to become president and never initiated the move to allow everyone control their resources. It's such a shame.

Under Tinubu? Laiye? Never. The North has him by his blokos and he won't do shit. Nothing good will ever come out of his administration

instead of stupid grammar, just say it is a vague or ambiguous term.

That's how you campaign against subsidy that it has become evil but can't campaign with same fervour for the savings to be used properly. Are you not one of them?

There is no need for restructuring for any state to become as prosperous as Lagos. Lagos government is richer than Ghana's government and why support restructuring when it means you will pay up?. It does not make sense. Oyo can make seventy percent of Lagos revenue and Osun can make thirty percent. The only change needed is state police but the best is disintegration for everybody to control their own money and military as well as economy.
