These soldiers are paid a paltry 1500 a day, amounting to 45000 a month for putting their lives on the line just to guard these chinese nationals, yet the money is being diverted and owed by their superiors.

Just 1500 a day...Not even enough for daily feeding. SMH

What a country.

Dangote Refinery to start refining petrol by November 30, 2023, to start diesel and jet fuel refining operations by October 2023.

This is according to Dangote Group Executive Director Devakumar Edwin. He made the statement during a September 18 interview with S&P Global Commodity Insights.

According to him, the Dangote refinery will receive its first cargo of crude in the next two weeks and will begin producing up to 370,000 barrels per day of diesel and jet fuel from October 2023.

He also noted that by November 30, the refinery will start the phased ramp-up to 650,000 barrels per day of petrol.

“Right now, I’m ready to receive crude,” said Edwin, who previously ran Dangote Cement. “We are just waiting for the first vessel. And so as soon as it comes in, we can start.”

While addressing the timeline change, Edwin told S&P that the NNPCL had said they had committed their crude on a forward basis to someone else, so they didn’t have the crude immediately.

He noted that this is a temporary issue, and the refinery should run on exclusively Nigerian crude by November 2023.

He noted further that the Nigerian oil will be purchased in US dollars, and not naira because it is in a free zone on the outskirts of Lagos.

However, NNPCL will supply some crude at knockdown prices due to its equity stake.
Edwin also said that the Dangote refinery can process most African crudes, apart from heavy Angolan grades as well as Middle Eastern Arab Light and even US light tight oil.

He said: “We can take even some of the Russian grades… if the global system opens up to allow us to receive them. Basically, if you look at our production profile, 50% of my production will meet 100% of the requirements of the country.

“Excess gasoline – which will be 10 ppm sulfur Euro 5 quality — will be exported to other African markets as well as the US and South America, although the volumes will be relatively small. Meanwhile, jet fuel will be exported to Europe and diesel will be sold in sub-Saharan Africa.”

S&P also reported that Edwin said the Dangote refinery would be enormously beneficial to Nigeria by establishing a reliable supply of “environmentally friendly” refined products and bringing a huge amount of foreign exchange into the country.

According to him, the refinery will also ease a fuel supply crisis in import-dependent West Africa, where Nigeria’s recently scrapped fuel subsidy created a thriving illicit market for gasoline amid price fluctuations.

Meanwhile, he noted that the money coming back into the refinery business will go for further investments because Aliko Dangote’s focus is always on Nigeria.

dstv uses Ku band satelittes

much smaller by subject to weather

C band satellites are not subject to weather - but they are typically much larger - like those from our childhood
It all makes sense now. Cos they always did adverts about how bad weather affects their signals from their satellite station but then why is it also affecting yours whenever it rains on your end

Maybe it's way cheaper to stay on Ku band. That's the only plausible explanation. There's also this random code that pops up mid match that you can't even remove

When you've taught kids with a learning disorder, such an experience isn't new. The last kid I taught with such a challenge was in 2013 as an undergraduate.

Before then, I taught one such student when I was doing A levels preparing for university education.

Such students are rare and are extremely difficult to teach.

In the university, the boy's dad is a high-ranking staffer in my alma mater, and the kid has attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). He's a graduate now.

Once the pay is handsome, parents will get good teachers to handle kids with such challenges successfully.

A teacher that can handle kids with a learning disorder successfully can teach anyone.

The mentally deficient ones can keep wailing about Otem as usual. Make una wail all day

[color=royalblue]You have to visit over 20 towns to know if other areas are affected or not.

If it happened in Badagry, we would have called for the heads of Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu.

We cannot be lowering the standards when it is for another governor.

Imagine discriminating against another Igbo. Clearly shows it's not an Igbo thing.

On that thread posted other people living in Anambra said this doesn't happen in their areas.

If the letter was a letterhead by Ikorodu community then that's obviously not done by the governor we know the governor who did that in the past and that was Peter Obi there are plenty receipts on the internet dating back to 2012

In the teaching line, you come across students of diverse mental capacities. There are bright ones, which nature gifted with a higher IQ than their mates. When you teach those ones, your work is easier.

Before you teach them A, they already grasp A to D.

There's another group of students that appear to take a bit longer to grasp things. Those ones are less intelligent when it comes to academics.

Then, there are those that exhibit low intelligence when it comes to academics that would give you a tough time as a teacher. Na people of such low IQ full Nairaland.

There was one I taught Physics and Math then in 2020 during the COVID-19 period. He exhibited a low level of intelligence in many topics in these subjects and other key subjects.

The boy gave me a lot of tough time then.

And the mom told me all the past teachers had a similar experience. I just advised her to expose the kid to as many activities as possible.

The parents wanted the boy to study an engineering course then, but he didn't show interest and have good performance in the key subjects required for such a discipline.

Such students hardly excel in that area. Instead of imposing a course of study on him, the parents needed to find other interests for him.

When he found an area that interested him, he'd show passion and zeal in it and excel there.

It's the same way some highly intelligent people can quickly spot opportunities in their immediate environment, which the dolts wailing about Otem here are too dull to see.

While the dimwits are wailing about a great body of knowledge, the smart ones can easily spot the new physics and mathematics there, which they are using to develop new fields in science.

It's not good to be dumb in life.

When the kids finish making their daily noises about Otem all year long, we'd see what they've achieved with the noisemaking.

People wey no know their left from right.

Instead of wasting time in worshipping a god, a parent should be preoccupied with raising geniuses as kids in the 21st century. It's geniuses that rule the world, not dumb people.

A highly intelligent person is equivalent to tens of dumb ones. That's why those at the helm of affairs in all areas of human endeavor are small in number, but they lead the vast majorities.

To raise a genius as a child, a parent should introduce their kid to philosophy, science, mathematics (hard math), programming, and hard puzzles at a very young age.

Do you teach Otemic principles as part of your syllabus though?

Your curriculum suppose include ThermoOtemics, Quantum Otemics, and ElectroOtemism.
