The President, therefore called on the global community to partner with Nigeria and Africa in a mutually beneficial manner.I wonder why politicians think it is foreigners that will do for us what they are elected to do for the masses. The solution is inward but they continue to look outward. If stranger comes to invest in Nigeria, will they be sharing money to people on all Nigeria streets or they will come and take our money to their country? |

So he went there to disgrace himself as usual. What kind of foolish old man is this? You rigged your way into power and used over 100 days to showcase failure as you did in Lagos. |

First he complained of illegal mining. Now he is complaining of hardship. Things he has simple and immediate solutions to. Tinubu is not what his supporters painted him to be. He is nothing but a mediocre. |

Newton2024:Don’t be naive sir, every country on planet earth needs FDI, even the largest economy on earth attracts 5trn yearly FDI. You cannot grow as an island, you need internal and external money. Peace ✌🏾 |

Who goes into the UNGA to tell the world that he is the cause of his country woes or problems if not a senseless fella that all he thinks is drugs, criminality, criminal capture of state without no iota of what leadership is all about? This is the fraudulent book keepers his zombies kept on overhyping and regaling sane Nigerians that he got the midas touch while as Lagos governor hence will make Nigeria Eldorado. Lagos State set this noxious ball rolling in 2007 with a law that provides a former governor life pension at the rate of N30 million per annum; a house in Lagos and Abuja for those who served two terms; six brand new cars every three years; free medical care for him and his family members; and a retinue of domestic servants. Ideally, one would think that a man who is leading the greatest Black nation in the world would embrace transparency like others who have sat on the seat of power in Aso Rock. However, he hired a team of five lawyers with the sole task of making sure that his school records were not made available. Such disgraceful behaviour is unparalleled in Nigeria’s political history. Meanwhile Festus Keyamo once warned Nigerians when he allegedly said; " I cannot imagine a situation where the military government gave more succour in Lagos State to workers than even Tinubu’s administration. Tinubu’s regime has been the worst for the workers in the last two decades". But where is he today? |

sunboy:And you can't expect investors to come to such a filthy corrupt country. Headed by one soo corrupt himself he can't fight the corrupt else his past will be used against him. |

sunboy:You don't get it. FDI is minor to the development of any country and attracting it should not be the priority of any serious government. How many times has presidents of China, India, UAE, US and UK come to Nigeria begging for FDI? The problem of Nigerian politician is that they use to major in minor and minor in major. If there's security, low corruption and stable economy, begging for FDI won't be necessary. You don't beg people to invest. It's not done like that anywhere in the world. |

OneCandleAway:Let’s not be naive here. You need that prosperity. More job means less crime. And everything till improve overtime. You expect him to tell the world that “ don’t come to my country we are very corrupt” Nigeria didn’t start to be corrupt in 2023 when he became the president. Will that stop him from still attracting investors? NO! Stop selling your country short, he’s your president! Part of his job is to be the chief salesman of the country, let him do it. Mexico is more corrupt than Nigeria, it is poised to be the new China of cheap production. Stop sitting in one corner and wishing your country no grow or improve, election is over! If he spoil na we go still suffer am. A president is in seat, let’s make the best out of it. |

AntiTerrorist:They don’t come to Nigeria to beg but go to other countries to beg for it. UAE, US, Canada, China, UK all Europe have the buy a property and become a resident program, that is an advertisement for FDI. China ask Tesla to build it largest plant in their country and have them huge incentives to back it, that is an FDI being driven. India and UAE ask Apple to make iPhones in their country, first made in India phone will start selling from IPhone 15 and up. US offered TSMC and other procucers to start producing its silicon chips in America, now they are over 5 new chip plants in America, 4 of which are in Arizona are desert with no enough water to drive that industry but the US government offered them an offer they couldn’t reject to drive them to America. All the DEVELOPED countries you listed as examples all beg for FDI, difference with that’s even a DEVELOPING Nigeria is that.. Buhari has demarketed Nigeria, he as portrayed us as lazy youth and good for nothing, now we have a president that’s trying to change the narrative that we are open for business, bring your investments, our youths are resourceful. Obi or Atiku will be doing exactly same thing if they mean well for Nigeria, period. Let’s stop being ridiculous, every country in the world need external funds. |

sunboy:Oh! You think they don't follow tge news, they don't know what goes on in Nigeria from their links or contacts here? You think they are being to the news of the presidents sketchy past, the disgrace when a country elects someone filthy corrupt to lead. I'm not saying leaders are clean, none really are, but when the baggage is too much and oozes, it's not a good look for a country. |

These are the type of statistics Obi should be telling you about China rather than the nonsense numbers he throws about. |

ambale:You need internal investment and external. Our major source of funds is threatened by high debt servicing figures where large proportion of your earnings is going towards servicing loan all thanks to the last government and his economic management team. Evening government is not and should not be in the business of opening factories or opening businesses, they are in the business of providing incentives to drive new investments. That’s what that man is doing. Nothing bad at all. Bottomline, we need both external and internal investments. BUA IS INVESTing, Dangote is investing, Otedola is not sleeping, many local banks are investing locally. |
