Hi guys, almost every men I have asked say the 2007-2011 Honda CRV are seen as women cars, please what do you guys think? Also I will like to know if they are reliable and hold their value.

very rugged car, parts are affordable, if u love it go for it brother but make sure ur mechanic confirm it before parting with ur money, am really enjoying mine nd i hope u do also when u finally made up ur mind on it.

I want to agree with that opinion. Those 2007-2011 CRV look really feminine with the shape and all the curves. I think I like the shape of the older 2003-2006 models, especially the 05-06 models.

Mostly used by women just like rav 4,doesn't mean if you like it that you shudnt get it.no biggie

There is no such thing as a woman's car! The reason why you see women drive a particular car is because;
A. A husband will buy the most problem free, easy to repair, not too fast and safest car for their wives.
B. A woman will always buy the most trouble free, easy to maintain car cos they hate visiting the mechanic for repairs or maintenance.

Most cars driven by woman are very reliable cars and are daily commute vehicles. Such as Rav4, CRV, Matix, Vibe, covic.

Around 2012, i bought a red 06 Matrix XR, my friends said it looks like a girls car, most matrix where driven by women. But after installing some dark tints, wicked wheels, bonnet guards, window & open-roof visors there was nothing girly about my matrix. As a matter of fact i soon started seeing men cruising theirs/wives.

No car was built with a particular sex in mind, but some cars do look masculine while others may look soft, u just have to bring out the masculinity, like going to the gym

Indeed the crv looks feminine and the fact that it is mostly used by women strengthens the stereotype. However, it is a very very useful car. Not the fastest car out there, but it's a ride you'll enjoy driving.
So OP if you want to buy, go ahead. I was once in this dilemma but after long hours of philosophizing, it was only the crv that ticked all the right boxes of what I wanted in a car at that moment so I went for it and few months on, no regrets.

An uncle who so much despised the 2006-2012 rav4 eventually got 2 for himself(1 for his wife and the other for himself). This was after driving one himself for about 6 months.

Na lovely car no listen to d sexist remarks.

I bought it as Nigerian used but it could pass for foreign used.
The acceleration is not very quick. The car usually has road noise. Then I noticed if you swim water sometimes, check engine go come out, 'D' will start blinking but the gear selection was still impeccable . I've had the experience twice. First time I quickly called a technician to scan and fix but when it happened the second time, I ignored it. After 2 days the check engine disappeared, D blinking stopped. 3 weeks on it hasn't come up again.

I don't really know about the difference in horsepower. Mine is a 2007 model.

Ok, thanks, so I later found out that the 2010 and 2011 have 180 horese power whereas the 2007 to 2009 have just 166 horse power. the new year release also have upgraded pleasing exteriors, and interiors.

Go ahead and get it. One of the most reliable crossover SUVs ever made. Make sure you go with a competent mechanic for inspection though, but as for the car itself, you’ll have no regrets owning one, forget all the nonsense talk about it being feminine.
