What if the records shows
1. That Tinubu obtained admission into CSU fraudulently, i.e. he never even wrote and passed WAEC? then his presidency is toasted! You need a minimum of WAEC to be President of Nigeria.

2. That he is not the rightful owner of the certificate he is parading, then we have a case of perjury. I can't guarantee how that one goes. However, it would be a huge embarrassment for him, his party and the country to note that our President has only WAEC as highest qualification.

There's nothing in Tinubu's records that is going to benefit Atiku. If Tinubu's camp are stalling it is probably because they want to deny Atiku from using any of Tinubu's records in his case at the Supreme Court in Nigeria.

That's politics for you. Chicago State University won't do anything stupid by having him on their records if he had not truly graduated from their university. America is not Nigeria. Question: Did Tinubu attend & graduate from CSU. YES, that is never in question and has been proven over and over. He has a degree from CSU so he is qualified to be president as per the constitution.

Question: How did he get admission to CSU.
We don't know but he must have satisfied CSU somehow that he was eligible for admission.

Question: Does the constitution say anything about how to gain admission or where to get the cert. NO.
As far as the constitution is concerned, you can sit under a tree in your compound and study for and write WAEC (and many people have done so). So long as you have a legitimate WAEC cert or higher.

Question: Presenting a forged certificate to INEC. I know it is an offense but I suspect the time for that question has past. The accusation of forgery must be more than a mere accusation. It must be proven in a court of law and BAT convicted of forgery to be of any use.

The matter is not really about whether Tinubu attended or graduated from CSU,its about the certificate that was submitted before INEC which the CSU lawyer admitted that he could not verify if the certificate was genuine putting real doubt on its authenticity!

This was why the judge granted atiku's lawyers the permission to be given the entire documents of Tinubu including the certificate which he issued to INEC!
That's also why Tinubu is battling to impede the disclosure of his CSU documents because it has several implications on him which will impact on his presidency!

Please permit me to give a logical explanation to this entire Tinubu debacle. ( This is a copy and paste from an explanation i gave to numbered questions from an earlier forum. I thought it would be apt to expose this write up for everyone to understand the details of this case).

1. CSU already said under oath that a name bearing BOLA A TiNUBU graduated from their school. This is right. However, if you read the details of Atiku's lawyers arguments, there is ambiguity about the identity of the person who graduated from that school and the person claiming that identity. Richard Daley College has categorically said that the person who graduated from their college was a female, as reflected in the transcript they notarized. That is not in contention. ( To put it in context, this is a white school, better organized and cannot be easily manulpulated due to better funding, especially in the 1970's during the civil rights era). This is the same transcript a Bola Tinubu used to gain admission into the course he/she studied. By law, Chicago State University has not committed any perjury as there is a name of such semblance in their records that graduated from that school.

2. Atiku requested for a template of certificates given in 1979. This is to compare that template to the document Tinubu submitted to INEC. Also, don't you find it curious that CSU did not keep any identifying information during the application process to the school but a junior college, Richard Daley College, where he/ she got his/ her prerequisite courses kept all their identifying information during the application process.

3. For context, this incident happened in the 1970's, during the Civil Rights era in USA. Many
HBCU's, for which CSU is one of them, were both very poorly funded and poorly organized. Many Nigerians and some other wealthy africans took advantage of that system to get the needed qualifications for their careers. It is very different now. CSU is currently doing damage control for their school reputation.

4. CSU is very measured and deliberate in their actions. They would never have given Tinubu a copy of that certificate, especially when there is uncertainty about the true identity of the owner. If they did, it would immediately lead to the realm of aiding and abetting of a crime. That could ultimately open a litany of potential troubles for the University. This forced Tinubu to forge the certificate he submitted to INEC, knowing that any verification attempt would be confirmed by CSU that a Bola Tinubu truly graduated from that school. This is called plausible denialbility.
