See the nonsense the admin in this forum are doing. You see, you can’t quote that BBQ ZoneB because they have put immunity in his moniker. Don’t worry, very soon Nairaland will be a thing of past

It is the responsibility of each market board to ensure that they evacuate waste in the market by partnering with LAWMA. Most markets in Lagos constitute environmental nuisance as a result of leadership failure in the market. I support the shutdown so that other markets' leaders will sit up and do the needful

Good Development,
Slow and Steady we will get to the nation of our dreams,
Removing illegal market structures is pivotal for urban planning and development.
It allows for proper zoning and allocation of spaces, ensuring a more organised and aesthetically pleasing cityscape.
You may not witness it. No be curse. The level of corruption is toooo much. No be with this generation. God help us. But people like you should not be expecting good governance when with tribalism you support bad leaders. Eg Buhari and now Ebola. Just face your grilling abeg.

Long overdue, i have been expecting this for long, Lagos need a stringent laws that will put the resident on their feet. Thought of this too, hope it will be extended to houses and shops along the major roads that allows indiscriminate dump of refuse.

It is not actually easy to control Nigerians especially those ones in Lagos

They drop waste indiscriminately

LAWMA is trying but Lagos is still looking dirty because of the attitude of the inhabitants

This Oyingbo market has shut....there is no eyebrow whatsoever because..the Market is filled with Yoruba people and some minority tribes in Nigeria...
Now, if markets like Ladipo, Alaba, or Ikeja Computer Village are sealed... For the same offense....you will see all these Nnnnyamiri people calling it witch-hunting....and that Yoruba people hate Nnnyamiri people...

Nnnyamiri people are more of a curse than a blessing to their host community.....

NAh I disagree, The markets are meant to have a designated area to discard rubbish and LAWMA is meant to go collect all the rubbish from that area.AS it stands the rubbish is outside the market so its LAWMA failing.

How come markets don't look decent in Nigeria?

How come many markets are without decent cement floors?

Markets always look extremely muddy and dirty whenever it rains.

We can do better in this country. We cannot continue like this.

Will you keep quiet there!!!!

Look at the heap of refuse in front of that market.... If Lawma provided appropriate waste receptacles would people dump refuse anyhow? Why has Lawma not evacuated that rubbish heap? Pot calling kettle black!!!! People are willing to pay reasonable fees for functional public services not task force here and there when Una never do your primary responsibility as government agencies!!!
