I’m at my lowest point in life, as I’m here looking at myself and wondering, is this not why people commit suic!de ? Isn’t this what brings about depression ?

Well, I’m too matured to know that situations are temporary but then it’s my reality that I’m now down but I won’t bow out. This economy has happened to me to the extent I’m now struggling to feed.

Even someone who started bakery business two months ago, very capital intensive that I sold some of my valuables to invest, fast forward to last month when I was done and ready to start production only to find out prices of raw materials including floors have gone up by at least 30% but buyers are not willing to pay more while old bakeries keep squeezing life out of new bakers because they can afford to sell even cheaper owning to their ability to buy trailer loads of floor directly from factories at cheaper rate, so where is the profit?

At the end of the month we can’t even pay salaries of two people assisting me. I had to shut down and owing secretory. My driver saw what happened first hand and didn’t even ask for his salary. He just left.

And now I don’t have any food at home at all, I’m not even talking about how I look now when I stand in front of the mirror. This economy has happened to me in a way I never imagined.

For over a month now, I haven’t eaten good food. It’s been garri and with onion, magi, salt and red oil soup that I have been making.

Now I can’t even afford N200 to buy onions and crayfish or anything to cook my usual concoction while I waiting for when I get a buyer for my land so I can rearrange my life.

My pure water is only remaining only 4 sachets and I’m scared. I can’t even afford transport to go out and find daily bread and if this data finish then I’m out of Nairaland where I come to keep my mind busy instead of thinking my life or negative thoughts.

Please if you see this and feel any empathy to assist, I’m willing to even go on Video call to confirm to you that I’m not trying to scam anyone of 500,1000 or any amount.

I can’t ask anyone in my family because as bad as it is I’m the provider but now no one wants to help, probably they really do not have. Please I need help, any amount so I can be able to get something to eat first and be able to go out often and look for opportunities while I wait for a buyer for my land.

I also put up my laptop for sale very cheap, but in all I need to be alive, help me with 500, 1000, 5000 or any amount from your heart so I can get small food stuffs

If I’m not being honest may God judge me. Also I want you to verify before giving me if you’re concerned about the claims. Is not that I don’t have anything to sell but it’s not easy getting a buyer.

My thought exactly. Before I even read it I went to check the account. Nairalanders has thought us to always check the duration of the account.

Honestly, so don’t blame anyone doubting me here, after all there’s too much begging scam. Those telling me to sell one or two. I already said my laptop is for sell, it’s not easy to sell Apple laptop as fast as you can sell HP or other brand. Not even because of the price but it’s not popular demand unless people that have special need for it.

I have taken it to those guys selling refurbished laptop but they said they’ll keep instead so when a buyer comes they sell and give me money. How will not solve my immediate need to feel ?

And only a person who understands will not want to put you through such public disgrace like people who go about making videos of poor people and the street and post it online, you have already stripped a man of his glory, what then is the essence of you helping them. If any of you actually helped yesterday you probably would still come here to post the screenshots to boost your ego.

The funny is life is only people with helping hearts help. Others just want to know who is down just as some of the family and friends they said I should turn to. Understand that blood isn’t what makes us family. And there are some people you can’t ask for help, it would mean demotivating them.

This is now a challenge for me to start a charity organization because it made me understand deeply how helpless these guys asking for 1k online are, if they had a better life why would they ask for mere 1k ? You didn’t think that, but you immediately become judgmental and a moral authority because you haven’t found yourself in such situations where you need urgent help for even as little as pure water.
