Biafra : Former Senate President, Pius Anyim Moves To Release Nnamdi Kanu, Meets President Tinubu

Former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim has continued making moves to ensure that Maazi Nnamdi Kanu is released from DSS Custody, 9NEWS Nigeria has learnt.


According to report, the recent meeting between the former Senate President, Anyim Pius and President Bola Tinubu was to discuss how Maazi Nnamdi Kanu will regain freedom.

Sources revealed that Anyim had a discussion with the president about how Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) would be freed.


“Anyim recently met Tinubu basically to discuss how to free Ekweremadu and Nnamdi Kanu,” one of the sources revealed to our correspondent.

Kanu has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja since June 2021, despite court orders which granted his release and pleas from stakeholders to then President Muhammadu Buhari and incumbent President Tinubu to release him.

Our sources said Senator Anyim is working hard to ensure Maazi Nnamdi Kanu's release.
