Some of those projects are not really white elephant but suffered from lack of continuity in the vision of those who initiated them. The Heroes Park Okorocha built in Owerri isn't a bad idea but was discontinued and forcefully halted by his successors because of politics. If a future Governor decides to queue into his idea then that place will be a beehive of activities as he dreamed. Wike built Pleasure Park based on Okorocha's dream of Heroes Park.

Tinapa built by Donald Duke also turned White Elephant because his successors refused to key into his vision and FG further flattened it by the neglect of the Itu-Odukpani highway.

To you it's nonsense but for the inhabitants of Lagos state, it was the solution for protecting their ancestral land and billion dollars worth of investments from submerging under the sea. Do you understand? grin

What you just said is akin to saying that NewYork city β€”downtownβ€” was built to stop erosion from reaching the mainland. Only someone with holes in the brain would swallow that nonsense. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

forget erosion lets talk business... how much has eko atlantic generated in terms of profits for its investors its more than ten years now they should be profits...

First of all, it has saved billions of dollars worth of investments from going comatose as a result of sea encroachment. That's the first profit.

The second profit is the sales of lands to multimillion dollar companies, United state of America embassy, etc in billions of naira. grin

I was not fed, I saw it with my eyes. Bar beach is where you have Eko Atlantic city now. It was where fun loving Nigerians go for fun doing holidays and on Fridays before beaches along Lekki axis were easily accessible.

But the encroachment of the sea covered the whole bar beach until IMB plaza. Infact, destroyed the building at some point.

Do you understand. Olodo

If you don't have any meaningful contribution just rest. Eko Atlantic is not an elephant project. It is only a failed project or a project that doesn't add value to society can be classified in that category of elephant project.

However, leaving Obi Mono rail to criticise Eko Atlantic is suspicious and grossly unfair
you can add obi mono rail that is your business...
people like you will never be able to afford any house in eko atlantic instead of facing and accepting reality you will be defending failure up and down...
over ten years now apart from beauty what other value has it added to lagos

Kaduna Refinery.

Step 1: Locate refinery far inland, 850KM away from nearest oil producing area and lay 2,000KM of pipeline that will cause environmental devastation.

Step 2: Configure refinery not to specialise in Nigeria's Bonny Light crude.

Step 3: Profit!
They had to import crude for kadunna refinery

Stop derailing a beautiful thread bigot. With the was we are paying loans with subsidy removal, it is time a cyber-prophet arises and condemns any white-elephant project not generating meaningful revenue or any that's not within the financial reach of the middle-class.
