Not a scam I have been working with them for a year + now

There are over 50 million Software Developers in India. If going there to look for a job is your intention, my advics would be that you should not go.

But if you're already working with them (as you said in one of your responses here), then you can go. But know that cost of living in India is higher compared to Nigeria's. It's not like you are going to be exposed to better opportunities there so I see no reason why you should relocate to India when the company is not asking you to do so.
