All Nigeria Public Universities Students and Staffs should take note that ASUU is not going back on the Indefinite Strike organized by NLC and TUC by 3rd of October.

TOTAL, COMPREHENSIVE AND SUFFOCATING STRIKE LOADING!

Signed:
Prof. E. V. Osodeke
ASUU National President

I hope the government will take organized labor serious this time around (unfortunately, it seems labor isn't taking themselves serious). I wish we had voted rightly from the beginning.

I have noticed something with some of this Nairaland TInubu Supporter. They keep saying Tinubu is a man of strategy. They will always mention Lagos as a key reference.

Your Past History doesn't Guarantee your upcoming SUCCESS. It is just like gambling, you can be winning today and tomorrow you will lose all your bet.

Past Glory since how many years? Nigeria, sorry Lagos don change since Tinubu comot, cheesy grin things ain't like before and he thought to use the old man sense strategy to rule a whole Nigeria, Nigerians that vote Tinubu are jokers. grin grin grin grin grin

So why do you think Peter Obi past glory could guarantee him success?

Did I call Peter Obi? Sorry to say you Tinubu's Supporters are D#mb.

I support this planned strike, I just hope NLC will not change their mind. 25k increments is not making sense, you increased fuel price by 216% and want to increase workers salary with just 83%. How do you expect them to meet up.

Increment to me is not the solution, instead I will ask the government to continue to pay 50% subsidy on PMS until they able to build more refineries.

I know someone that spends 50k every week to fuel his car, that's 200k a month

What's so difficult for Tinubu to increase minimum wage to 100% and to reduce price of fuel gas foodstuffs and other commodities in the country?

This is what you get when idiots are in power

The thing is that this strike only helps those in federal offices.
What's in this for the common man?

But really the struggle is much. What do we gain of we don't join the strike. Nigeria is heading for doom. Tinubu is the driver. Nigeria is not Lagos.

In reality, It's very difficult for a Royal Niger company to pay salaries to common workers without reaching a total compromise on the benefits of the company's stakeholders.

Even Seun is shocked that ASUU is joining, less than 2 weeks after they pocketed an increment in wages. His post means "Wtf!" grin

I believe whatever strike ASUU embarks on will still be mild to what some of us went through in the hands of ASUU. I spent almost 7 years on a 5 years engineering course. Thanks to ASUU vs Obasanjo. One year before school resumption and 11 months within academic semesters.

The suffering wey people dey suffer for this country no be here, many people wallowing in abject poverty, I was expecting a total lockdown in the country, not only strike but a massive protest, but in Nigeria we tribalise everything cos some sections of the country will not join the struggle because their man is there. Look at Ghana, they troop out and occupy the whole country, but here for 9ja sufferness don master us, what a shame. The useless leaders at NLC & TUC don collect money as it has been called off, awon eleribu dede.
