We can choose to sell our crude and conduct international trade in naira. A lot of countries like India, Brazil, Russia, China... etc, have already started conducting international trades in their own currency. It's a means of strengthing their local currency, and increasing it's demand globally.

I don't understand this Dollar dep endance we're practicing here.

It is not simple economics.
Your only source of foreign exchange,you still want to collect naira for a highly populated import based economy.
We will be losing much more.
Smart businessmen will take full advantage to enrich themselves at the detriment of the nation.
Only highly independent and exporting nations can carry out such monetary policy.
