Na so one of them wanted to use the trick on me. He said that his bank had an issue and that l should help him use my money to transfer to the person he wanted to pay the money to.

I asked him if I could send my account number to him to see if the money could be transferred to my bank, then I would help him to transfer to the person since I was using the same bank as the other person.
The scammer blocked me.

Please help us the last time we ate a good food was from our neighbor on  sunday. Since then we have surviving on drinking garri since Monday and the garri we use to have hope has finished. the little money I have I used it to pay for house rent so that we can at least have roof over our head. am pleading for help please, not for my sake but for my daughter please am a single mother. Please if anybody can help me with any little amount to eat I will be very happy. Feeding is a big problem for me and my family please no matter how small. I havent eaten anything since yesterday in the morning pls. My dad is a retired teacher and my mom is late. Am a single mother with my own son mouth to feed, the little money i make have use it to cater for my dad illness and pay house rent but his health is getting worst. scammers will call you pretending to be a member of a whatsapp group you belong too. Telling you about a propose meeting, they will ask if you would want to join the zoom meeting. U will definitely say yes. And then they will ask u to return a code u can see on ur whatsapp screen for you to join the zoom meeting. Once u return that code..and ur whatsapp has no 2fa. Ur whatsapp is gone.

So this guy hacked the whatsapp of a colleague (we are members of same whatsapp group) and decided to chat me and asking for money with the aim of scamming me.

His flow didn't sound like my colleague, I couldn't reach my colleague by direct phone call cos it was midnight in order not to disturb her sleep.

I decided to play along and this morning, I made sure the group admin blocked the number cos the scammer reportedly messaged some other group members but no success. He later blocked me.
