They added me to two groups. I didn’t even have the choice of saying no to the request and before I knew what was happening my WhatsApp logged me out and was asking for a code. Next thing my contacts are sending me screenshots to confirm I am the one needing so much money at once. They were all surprised because my pride no be here. I never ask for anything unless we are very very close… Someone was using my WhatsApp same time as I was on it and then it logged me out. I tried again. It was requesting for code. Next thing WhatsApp banned my account for spam and fraud. I had to contact their customer care and this has happened to me severally before a colleague asked me to use two step to lock it.

scammers will call you pretending to be a member of a whatsapp group you belong too. Telling you about a propose meeting, they will ask if you would want to join the zoom meeting. U will definitely say yes. And then they will ask u to return a code u can see on ur whatsapp screen for you to join the zoom meeting. Once u return that code..and ur whatsapp has no 2fa. Ur whatsapp is gone.

So this guy hacked the whatsapp of a colleague (we are members of same whatsapp group) and decided to chat me and asking for money with the aim of scamming me.

His flow didn't sound like my colleague, I couldn't reach my colleague by direct phone call cos it was midnight in order not to disturb her sleep.

I decided to play along and this morning, I made sure the group admin blocked the number cos the scammer reportedly messaged some other group members but no success. He later blocked me.

You should have sent him a screenshot of a Moose because that's what he is.

Very useless people, they always use same format and palmpay account. I had an encounter with one a couple of months ago, when he asked for receipt I simply told him its showing transaction failed ,
