She's not a bad person per say. She just isn't smart enough to understand human psychology. The other politicians who didn't donate something this important to the constituency and yet won are smarter than her.
I don't know how the local politics in Uganda is played in general neither do I know how about the circumstance surrounding her loss in her constituency but I'm very certain that she's still petty to play politics. She isn't smart enough for the rigours of the position she intends to handle though she doesn't appear to be a bad person.
A gift makes a way for a man/woman especially when it is such a people oriented one. She should have borne her loss and look for another opportunity in the future without looking at the ambulance. I guess the feminine part of her couldn't accept letting the investment go away without bountiful results in return.

Same thing happened in Oyo state, teslim folarin donated transformer to some area and after losing the election first thing was to remove the transformer.
They used it to campaign against him in this last gubernatorial election which he lost woefully again to seyi makinde

Not necessarily bigger worthwhile pre elections project of value like the ambulanc,etc . Could even be her competitors just did dorime more and greased and oiled the palms of community members more ,with more monetary incentives/bribe to vote.immediate gratification & madam with her ambulance just stingy for dia.

Popularity in election is proportional to wealth and how you spend it, if you don't spend in elections forget it

Forget about the money concerning the general elections even in Nigeria, money has to do mostly with primary elections within the party. But general election, if your party is not popular and does not have large numbers of party members like APC, PDP and LP, just forget it. They will collect your gifts and money but still vote for their party's candidates
