price went against me by just 51 pips, you started getting happy.

I have posted 880 pips movements here and more, time and time.......It's 51 pips negative that is making him ******

Boss stop letting trivial things bother you. If you let your haters know that negative words affect you they will keep sneering you and sit back to watch you rant. Just ignore them, their opinion of you is inconsequential.

I've been an active trader for about 2 years now and I can comfortably say I'm still a novice, probably due to bad mentorship, lack of strategy and plan, and not being disciplined.
After consistently losing accounts, I took a break and I told myself I needed a strategy and a change of mentor. So I started reading ebooks, watching YouTube videos, and even paid some Instagram mentors I eventually found out that I'm even better than them.
Long story short, I adopted the support and resistant strategy, along with trendline. On my demo account, my winning rate with these strategies was about 55-60%. I started gaining confidence bit by bit but my problem is that the value of my 40% losing rate is usually higher than the value of my TP. Yeah, I need more confidence to allow my trade to play out and not close up a winning trade early. That, I need to work on.
That being said, I was reading through the comments a few weeks ago about an argument on support and resistance when I saw the comment of Boss Gabson FX2 where he said he buys at the resistant and sells at the support. I was like MOGBE!!! I looked at my SNR strategy, I looked at his comment, and I was like which kai wahala be this, was confused cos boss has been making good profits, and I started doubting my SNR strategy. That weekend, I was forced to backtest it with Gold(my one and only love).
After my research, this was what I learned:
1. Some people usually say the more the support and resistance are tested, the stronger it becomes. My research says otherwise, the more they are tested, the weaker they become
2. In an uptrend market, the resistance can be easily broken, likewise in the downtrend market, the support can be broken easily. This is why I believed Boss Gabson FX2 when he said he sells at the support zone and buys at resistant. In fact, when this zone breaks out, na with a big move. The more the move, the more the profit.

We learn every day. I won't give up until I become a PRO.

I was among the m***fx winners sometime this year.
I was number 1 for 3 weeks, and on the final week of the month I was number **I relaxed and stopped taking good trades. So on the last day of the trading day of the competition, I was happy I would get a cash reward and account, this Indian guy below me needed $1000-2000 to pass me, he got that that day and I became number **. I was pained but no lele.

This is my alt account so. You can't know who goes sha.

Honestly I do pay very much attention to USD index because whenever it pump XAUUSD and EURUSD dump, though I don't trade it but the fact that it shows the bias of the major pairs make it worth monitoring every day.

The Logic behind this is actually very simple sir.

Look at it like this; Those 2 coins are always in constant battle with one another right. If USD rises, that means any other pair it's paired with is falling right, and if it's falling then that means the other pair is rising.
So what I do is, look at DXY and EXY and that will give me a general idea of I'm looking for Buys or Sells.

Now for Gold i.e XAU, Gold is an Alternative Asset or Sage Haven Asset. It and other metals like Silver, Diamond, Oil and even BTC self, they are seen as Alternatives in the sense that, If Dollar is strong, Investors would push their Monies in there for storage and safe keeping but if it's weak, There would be an influx of Money into Gold hence making it strong and pushing the price up.

That's the simple way I see those coins especially the USD pairs. This knowledge can be applied to any pair we trade. Just get the Index of the 2 pairs and you would have a rough idea of what to look out for.

Still open to more insights and Contributions by the Gurus here.

Thanks everyone.

As you journey through this learning curve, please, do NOT ignore the fundamentals you have learnt about support and resistance cos I don't as well. My message was I can do any (long or short) at resistance AND long or short at support.

As you keep learning and growing, you will know when it's the right time to shed some of those theories. Wishing you success as you journey through.

Sir, this person you quoted made a statement that has been always confusing me and I'd like your honest Inputs for more Clarifications sir.

How do we let our Winners run??

Because say for instance, my RR is 1:3 and my TP is hit, how again can I let the Winners run??

I read this book, Best Loser wins and he advocated for something like this in the book. He said One should just set a Stop Loss and Learn to cut losses short but leave our Trades open to see how far the market would go in profits.

But for those of us that aren't constantly bat the Charts or our Trading Desks to monitor price, how do we reconcile this sir?? I've also suffered a bit from Taking profits at 2-3R while price goes on and does a 4-6R but I don't know how to just leave TP open as I might not be constantly checking it.

What do you Advice or suggest sir??

Other Mentors and Bosses here please, your inputs are also very welcomed sirs.

Thanks very much.

No anyone knows the future will be like. Oil price heavily dropped in yesterday market and record low 83.17 from high 88.48. Nearest no shadow in bears candle mean strong down.
According analyst Oilprice, Oil price tumble as EIA reported significant build gasoline inventory. Gasoline inventories added a substantial 6.5 million barrels for the week to September 29, which compared with a build of 1 million barrels for the previous week. Gasoline inventories are now 1% above the five-year average for this time of year. Gasoline prices fell alongside oil prices on Wednesday morning, trading at $2.238.
