Oh.

Surprised that some people's comments suggest they think we're moving forward.

Expect more of these.
By this time next year dollar will be nearing 2k.

That is how God allows them suffer.

APC can't win in Bayelsa without manual transmission. INEC wants to tell us they can't use BVAS for just 8 LGA of Bayelsa state.

As if APC have not win there before. Mtcheeeew......that election is open for anyone. Diri didn't do too well with the gift given him by supreme court.

A popular candidate will win any election. We didn't do electronic collation in Edo for obaseki to be reelected. Bvas is basically for accreditation. INEC has the powers to determine its mode of collation, that has been settled by the court. If you're weeping, you're either ignorant or mischievous.

It better my dear. Let Diri and the rest fight for it, even if it is to grab, snatch and run away. It's the new order and I can never trust INEC or any election in Nigeria.

If Nigerians think any election that will be anything close to free or fair will ever happen in Nigeria again under this Tinubu, you all joking. Ordinary Tribunal Judgements are compromised and am not talking about the Presidency now. The biased rubbish judgement passed from the PEPT is already having a ripple effect through the judgement and to think anything fair and free will happen in this country in the next four years is plain stupidity.

Is BVAS a collation machine? Why are you guys so ignorant like this? BVAS is an accreditation machine. It will be used for accreditation the same way it was used during the last general election. After results are counted and declared at polling units, the hard copies of form EC8A will be transmitted manually to ward collation centers for collation.
You too are also ignorant , the b-vas was not only used for accreditation but was also used to snap the results and transmit same to IREV ...

I worked as a P.O and couldn't transmit the results after the exercise in the Last Election , we had to use offline transmission while some Presiding officers took their B-vas to the Collation centres in the company of Party Agents to transmit same because the machine stopped transmission electronically ...

So don't limit the B-vas to only accreditation , we know the result sheets are manually collated in the Collation centres but B-vas transmits electronically , So if they want to just limit it to only accreditation , then it's a huge step backward ...

Yes, the results will be transmitted manually directly from the polling units.

Inec will do this and claim that they have complied with the electoral act.

Because the word electronically was not stated but only implied in the electoral act, inec is using that as excuse to do manual transmission of results.

The Senate need to quickly modify the statement in act by specifically stating that the the results must be recorded electronically at the polling units and transmitted electronically directly from the polling units.

The crooks at INEC must be instructed clearly by the electoral act without any ambiguity.
I agree that INEC is being mischievous but I disagree that because electronic is not used in the EA implies INEC is at liberty to do manual transmission alone.
Note that section 65 of EA already recognised the manual transmission of results from PU to ward to area to state etc. The new word introduced is "direct". Direct implies that the result must come "directly" from the PUs to the collation officers. If INEC is claiming because electronic is not used, it can do as it pleases, it implies that the PU officer must take the EC8A form directly to the State collation Centre and thus, no collation will take place at ward or area level since EC8A has already gone to the State. As a matter of fact, the EC8B and EC8C which are for ward and area collation will become redundant which totally negates EA.
So, INEC has to explain how it intends to satisfy s65 as it concerns direct transmission of results without electronic means while carrying out the normal process described in section 52.
This is what the opposition needs to test in the court.

Then why use the BVAS machines in the first place?

Abeg just hire more adhoc staff to do the counting, pay 2million naira to each adhoc staff and 1million Naira to the "auxilliary boys" and lets do the whole thing manually... Each voter is also paid 500,000 Naira to encourage voter turnup.

Everyone will be happy due to the balance... i.e; you can facilitate your rigging game, while everyone involved in the election will get handsomely paid.

Then we can all conclude that; all is fair in Love and War

Whats the point of the pretence, everyone can agree that Nigeria is lawless so why not allow everyone to profit amicably from the lawless state.

Is this the renewed hope they promised us? For a state of 8 local governments, INEC can't conduct election and transmit results electronically? Tinibu has officially destroyed all the efforts of Jonathan and Buhari governments on improving our voting system.

IREV is also for what? Manual collation is ok, if they will post the result at the IREV as at when due. Bayelsa state is only 8 LGA, for crying out loud are you happy that INEC is destroying our electoral system under the leadership of your kinsman Tinibu?
